I also think Fury will be too big for Usyk but cannot agree that he would have beaten Lennox Lewis. The only fighters who could beat Lewis were those who managed to uncork their lottery winning "Sunday punch" not to be repeated in a rematch. For me Lewis is the best HW in history.

We all (apart from casuals) know styles make fights and I think the only 2 fighters to trouble Lennox if everyone was on their best night, for different reasons would be Big George Foreman and Tyson Fury. Ali was too small for Lewis, especially on Lennox best night like Ruddock, Golota, Rahman 2 version of Lewis. I think Lewis would beat George on points and most likely knock fury out because for my money, Lewis hit a whole lot harder than Wilder,Mike Tyson knocked people into next week, Lewis knocked those same people into alternate dimensions. Ruddock, Botha and Golota spring to mind. My rottie is called Lennox lol

I would have agreed with everything Ray said , before the fight with ngannou. I think size does matter, but if he isn't as fit and sharp as usyk on the day, he's going to struggle. Having said that, his excellency may have ordered a draw . Makes good business senses.

I was in a bar a Gatwick airport back in 2000, spotted Ray over the other side of the airport with his wife and kid. Got my camera out and snapped a couple of photo's! He noticed me and started walking round my way with that look on his face! 😂 Dare I say i shat out of it and never made eye contact! 😂😂 Love the guy, though.

I'm inclined to agree - and yeah, if they both come out pumped we could well see an early tear-up in the middle of the ring and it might not go the distance. I hope it's a good ,hard competitive fight and all the best to both 'em. I ended up the same way with the turps - i just got sick of it and called it a day. Good to see Ray - he looks in fine fettle, as they say.

@philiphaseldine1135Whyte had been knocked out twice before by exactly the same punch btw, think the push across the ring did more damage than the punch anyway. So I can’t see Usyk getting hit with an uppercut, I predict Fury will most probably be aiming for below the belt and in the nuts.

Thanks I’m glad someone else noticed. I just posted a similar thing. Ray is totally winging it here. I was left with the impression that he loves the idea of boxing but isn’t a proper boxing fan. He offered zero insight and was quick to switch back to the topic of Fury where he could make big picture statements, the kind of statements that are found in tabloids - not serious boxing analysis, that’s why he pads his comments on Fury with “he’s a big lad” and “he’s got a good chin” and “after all he’s been through in his life” etc. Ray’s a top bloke, nice to see him but this interview was unnecessary. Also zero about Usyk, one might argue he only watches British fighters but Usyk has fought Tony, AJ, Del Boy and DDD. That latter being Usyk’s last fight, surely anyone would want to watch that to get an idea of who Fury is up against on Saturday. I’ll stop now because I just sound like a mean person mouthing off on the internet - Ray’s cool, maybe Spencer caught him off guard.

Not to get all philosophical but I think both their “weaknesses” are also their strengths. Usyk’s apparent weakness to the body: Tyson will have to time those shots perfectly because he’ll leave himself open for an uppercut. Tyson’s cut: Tempting as it is, Usyk has to be spot on and quick because he could get caught coming in. DDD only had one tactic: Target Usyk’s body…and when things didn’t go his way he had no other tools to get the job done. These two both have an incredible skill set, some say it will be boring but I don’t think so. Enjoy!
