What I don't understand is how all of these people lack the compassion to understand that Princess Katherine had to process all of this FIRST. She did not owe anyone an explanation on their time. She is human, and if she had to receive a stoma, either temporary or permanent, well, that is a LOT to process. Maybe if whoever started this 💩show (and we all know who did) had just paid attention to the announcement put out prior to her surgery, and accepted that she would return to work after Easter, well maybe she wouldn't have had the added stress caused by H&Ms minions as well as high profile tv personalities. Shame on everyone who took part in causing this family so much unnecessary stress. I pray that no one involved in mocking her ever receives devastating news like this.

The delay in announcement was to protect her children whilst they were at school and they waited for the school holiday. What a crass report.

Really? The Royals are paid by the public purse. They are public property. If they do not want to be scrutinised they should go and find another job. Maybe not the Harkles however they are trading on their titles and promoting themselves continually.

It is highly likely very few in their circle (including courtiers) had been informed initially, as she was already convalescing at home away from the work environment on medical leave, when they learned cancer had been present. As parents of VERY young children, they needed time and privacy to come to terms with the diagnosis themselves, as well as time to work out how and when they would explain the news to their children all under age 11! The public announcement corresponded with the children's 3 week Easter break from school, so they could go to Anmer and enjoy some private time away from London in the country, to make sure the kids are processing the news, reassuring and comforting them so they can go back to school prepared, after the initial hype has died down. I find it appalling you would cast judgment on them in this way. The photo was taken by William, at Adelaide cottage, and edited by kate, in response to all the where is Kate garbage. William and Catherine have a reputation for being very loyal to their staff and would never throw them under the bus in the way William's brother and his wife would. I can easily "forgive" the mistake with the photo knowing their minds and hearts were full in that moment. I do think you are right their press team should have caught the edits before it was sent out, and I'm sure it will never happen again. They did NOT screw up. They do NOT need to be more transparent. They are entitled to privacy when it comes to medical issues, remember they are not on the throne yet, only in line for the throne. And, finally, did she not take the opportunity to encourage other cancer sufferers in her taped message? I heard it loud and clear. She said do not lose faith, you are not alone. Megyn, shame on you!!!!!!!

This is very disappointing! She's a human being with the news we all dread. She is relatively young. It's a shock. It's not our business. She's not a robot! She just wanted privacy to recover, heal and come to terms which has happened! This has turned me off!
