It's funny that the Metroid Prime 4 Daily News meme Twitter account actually made me realize you how good us Metroid fans have been eating all things considered. Since Prime 4 was first teased, we've seen the release of Samus Returns, Dread, their respective amiibo and special editions, Prime Remastered, and now have nearly the entire 2D series playable on Nintendo Switch. If we're feeling generous and let Federation Force stand with the rest, we've been getting a fairly steady stream of Metroid since 2016. Though Prime 4 has been dangling overhead for seven years it could be so much worse.

@@fullmetalgamer6062 Counts yes, but it’s an online service, that will shut down eventually just like Pac Man 99, and Mario 35 before it. I just wanted either a full fledged new game or a remaster of F Zero GX/AX.

7 Years is a long time! But we made it! Prime 4 is real and it’s coming next year! Damn now I gotta play Hunters for Sylux’s beef with Samus lol Also the mic cutting out during your shouting XD Awesome reaction! Very excited for Prime 4 I’ve been waiting since finishing Prime 3 going through the trilogy back in freaking 2017 after 4 was announced! I hope they bring the rest of the hunters back I really loved that story element from the DS game.

I still feel like I’m dreaming I can’t believe Metroid Prime 4 is real!! I couldn’t believe what I was looking at It’s been 7 long years!! Nintendo didn’t forget we won Metroid is back let’s go!!

I subscribed and yes I do stream Nintendo games and reacted to this direct. I thought Mario&Luigi and 2D Zelda were the best announcements.
