I can't believe they removed Jack from the show. I don't think they explicitly mentioned it in the show at all but there are a few subtle hints to suggest that Jack has been arrested in the past. Maybe this has something to do with his sudden disappearance. Maybe his criminal past caught up to him. Perhaps a drug lord who he owed money to killed him or maybe the police finally found the 14 bodies he had buried in his back garden. I really hope they explain what has happened to Jack in the next episode.

I feel like Barry B. Benson's "Ya like Jazz?" is much more in-depth and has a stronger emotional punch than the omelet line, and it is executed perfectly. However, I do understand why you like the "Do you like omelettes?" line a lot, it draws from similar areas of the heart, and it is bound to attract any partner.
