It´s all out of scale!! Vintage Atlantic plastic toy soldier 1/32 scale vehicles.

Second video on the Atlantic 2000-series collection that I bought I while back. This time it´s on all the vehicles. As usual with Atlantic there´s some hits and some misses. But they are always fun.

As a kid we had extreme preduduse against 1/32 or 35 . Two reasons for this , if your seriousely building an army , 1/72 /6 is easier to store and organize , it gives you far more options of locations , available to you to play . The next reason , was ithat scale was a very obvious difference between what WE did , vs. the grocery store toy soldiers , that we looked down on , and they were roughly 1/35 . We got complicated in our play , so 1/72/6 was the only way to go .

I loved the Atlantic stuff back in the 80's. I even had all of the wargames at one point. With the exception of the ambulance and the flak 38, I only had 1/72 scale....... What fun it was to collect the packs!

Aw man, the Atlantic Landing Craft was one of the first 1/72 minis I ever bought. I got over their "scale problem" pretty early on and quickly found Airfix and Matchbox!

The strange vehicle that you compared with the SchwimmingWagen is actually part of a "Kettenkrad" (a motorcycle tractor, used to transport the pilot and two soldiers and tow cannons). What you have is well out of scale, as it is as if they had removed the front part of motorcycle part and placed the pilot inside the engine.😅 Hugs

I'm Italian, I'm in my 60's so I perfectly know Atlantic soldies and vehicles, I had hundreds of them (1/72) of all kinds, as I had hundreds of Airfix figurers same scale (maybe thousands!) Usually Atlantic are described as a very poor product, not accurate not historically accurate and so on, and to some extent they were, BUT the were also meant to be TOYS, toys for KIDS, nothing less nothing more, and I can assure you they did their job! 😀

I totaly agree. They are awesome toys and the two 1/72 sets I had as a kid I used a lot. I just wish I had gotten their Wild West sets which I think is the best they made. Ciao

A very fun little Video. I got some of these as a kid but in 1/72 scale. We were a some families going to ski in France. We kids went nuts for these crazy toys impossible to get in Sweden. I remember I was very sceptical to the tractor/kettenkrad though😂

Very nice I collect 1/72 Atlantic- can totally identify with your son - I play Russians in Team Yankee, Germans in flames of war and Empire in X-wing… Hard to win but very satisfying when you do 🙂 Great video had 1/72 Atlantic chi-ha tank oversized but wished I still had it - could use it for 28mm scale.I am going to use made in Hong Kong ( Helen of toy forts and castles for 15mm) love incorporating old plastic toy soldiers in wargaming- have Atlantic Roman and Egyptian armies. Thanks again for your video All the best from down under Lewis Sydney Australia 🇦🇺

Great show. Such a delight to see old toys. Finally, I get to see the Atlantic Range, thank you for this. I am so glad I did not receive any of this garbage for Christmas when I was a kid. They toys do look pretty bad. A friend of mine got some of these things and we spent hours shooting at them with our Air Rifles. We burned them. We put fireworks under them. Turns out, the toys were useful for something at least.

Kanskje på tiden 😀 Keep it going 👌☺️
