About us:
We're Jack & Megan, and in late 2020 we sold our belongings and packed our lives into our 2005 Toyota Troop Carrier to travel Australia. Our original plan was to complete a full lap of Australia and return home to Perth to resume our 'normal' lives. We decided we wanted to document our lap for the future and began sharing weekly travel vlogs of our life on the road and fell in love vlogging, filmmaking and sharing our lives with you. We completed our first lap and couldn't imagine living any other way so we decided to continue travelling and calling the Troopy home. We have gone on some crazy adventures since then and it is all thanks to you tuning in to join us every week.

Actual inspiration to a lot of people! Wish it had the OG motor but would go absolutely hard with the old chev! Awesome work team!!

Thanks so much mate! 🙏
The front profile looks so good on the early Cruisers. Ahh the memories.
Don't feel bad about the windscreen. 13 years in crash repairs and the last 14 the glass industry, I have never gotten a laminated screen out without either breaking the glass or cutting the rubber. I have a Bj40 shorty and Fj45 troopy currently undergoing rebuilds atm. You are doing okay 👍

That definitely makes us feel better! Luckily we were able to source a new one pretty easily 😅 Thanks for watching mate!
Just found this. Fantastic. I'm on my 2nd resto of my BJ40 in 28 years. Just shows none of us come out of the womb experts. Great job. The only thing I need to say is set your editing program to the same frame rate as your camera to eliminate the jitter. Keep up the great content guys.
Looking brilliant gus, so well done... is that the original yellow color or slightly modified... like a real mustard yellow...

Guys, she is looking amazing. So great watching her come to life
Looks great I’d chuck so more dynamat everywhere it makes a huge difference.
In those old cruisers, you need about 10 times the amount of sealant you put on. You need to wear a wet suit if you drive one of these in the rain. Paint looks good.
Can't wait until next week, love the progress.

Thanks Rob cannot wait to get on the beach with it!
When putting the windscreen in use thin lawn mower cord. Something with a bit of strength but not to large as to hold the glass out to much. Start from bottom of screen just off center. By starting from bottom you . don't have to try and hold the glass in hole as you are trying to put glass in. Also pull the cord to the center of the screen all the time, this allows the cord to do what it is designed to do which is open the rubber over the aperture. Also leave the wiper motor cover off until screen is in. Still loving the progress.

Great to see the fj coming together..my first 4wd 38 years ago was an fj40..had the old girl for about 6 years..even did the standard chev v8 conversation...learnt so much about car repairs owning it😂..but so many great trips..even a half lap and Cape York trip.. One piece of advice ..start working on arm strength 💪..you won't believe how heavy the steering is in sand and steep down hill tracks🤣 Enjoying your vids as usual..
Great job guys, one little thing, take the brake master cylinder off and bleed it on the bench in a vise it will make the job of bleeding the brake system a lot easier, cheers guys

Hey mate no worries we will add it up and have a chat about the costs in a future video! Thanks for watching 😊👍
Hehe, yes you are a weirdo Jack, but not because you reckonise a good job when you see it.🤪
Moin from Germany, when you mount the windscreen. Put a 1.5 or 2.5mm cable in the rubber seal. Then you can pull the "lip" better over the metal edge. And Parafin oil, that helps and the rubber can slip much easier over the metal edge and does not tear. And I would also remove the windshield wipers again, they only get in the way. It's a lot easier and you don't break anything, normally. We got the new offer (2022) for the IVECO 4x4 cargo van! I have read the offer twice but the blood pressure has not really gone down. And another price increase has already been announced. Currently we are at 95K€ for the base vehicle, Tax included. That's going to be fun! Have a nice week.

@@itsJackandMegan Good Morning. Well, we have also asked ourselves this question and have not yet come to a clear answer. When we are done with it, we estimate the total cost at about 140-150K€. Currently everything is on hold. We are now waiting for the development here, how does it go on in Ukraine, what economic consequences does that have for Europe/Germany etc. The diesel now costs 2.22 € / liter and continues to rise! Since you do not need to go for a ride. Waiting is announced.
