Missed it by that much. Born in '63 here and I remember when we laid on top of the package tray in the rear window. Of course that was if we didn't have a station wagon which we usually had.

@RedBud315 when we had station wagon dad usually Lay Down the backseat and we aa slept like 5 children in the back traveling on vacation to North of Finland driving like 12 hours same time mom n dad smoking in the front seats
