It's also interesting how they seem to take turns with their devotion to Ai. First it was Sarina, but when she died Gorou continued supporting her in Sarina's stead. Then on their birth they simultaneously supported and loved Ai as a mother and as their oshi. After Ai's death Ruby remains devoted to Ai in the positive sense (ie she's still loved her as her mom and oshi), but Aqua was devoted to Ai in a different sense now, not anymore devoted to supporting her but to avenging her. What do you know, when Aqua arrives at the wrong conclusion and thinks he finally has closure it's now Ruby's turn to devote herself to Ai's vengeance, and after Ichigo and Aqua's talk they're both aligned again. If we are to follow the pattern here the only sensible follow up would be something big would happen again, whether that's them fulfilling their revenge or them finding out each other's past life, which will upturn their devotion to Ai back to a positive and healthy devotion, but there's also a chance one of them might either think the opposite (like Ruby initially not wanting to avenge Ai, leaving Aqua the only vengeful devotee), or worse perhaps, one of them will die (like how Sarina's death left Gorou as the only supportive devotee).

not really,spoilers for the manga : actually,the crow girl at 4:59,that was after the reincarnation of them both as ai's children,said that she did what she did because both goro and sarina didn't have a mom,so she thought she'd put them with the woman they love most or whatever was in her mind,she said something about it when akane and aqua were looking for his corpse that wasnt found. btw goro's parents died and its his grandma that took care of him ( not sure ) and well,sarina tendouji had parents but,even at her last moments,they did not show up. later on in the latest chapter released,aqua meets her mom and seems very mad and upset at her for continuing to live so happily and stating that nobody cares for her naymore so she gets to do what she wants to do when he remembers one of sarina's wishes were "i hope my parents never get sick"

This is such a good point. Everything Aqua has done for Ai, has been because of Sarina. Instead of having Ai as his phone wallpaper to remind him of his patient, Goro's wallpaper is Sarina to remind him that she is the reason he supports Ai in the first place.

Maybe crow girl wants aqua to realise that hes here to protect ruby and that the revenge is a path to protect her

I think the current story will only make Ruby/Serina from crossing the line from killing or become corrupted. Is for her to find out that Aqua is Goro. With this he can help her and keep his promise that when she becomes idol he will support her.

I wonder if Kamiki is a red herring. Or at least he is only PART of the problem Aqua must solved to protect Ruby and avenge Ai, and there is still a hidden danger he might get blindsided by?

A small thing you made me think of is that when they were babies Aqua comes up with a plan in order to trick Miyako and Aqua says he is a divine messenger from heaven and Ruby says she is the embodiment of Amaterasu but who know just think its interesting given current context

Like if I think about it. I fr thought Ai was the main character bc of the MV and first episode, but then she wasn't really. The story was about her still, but not in that way. Aqua is more like the main character based on the perspective focus being on his. Ruby's situation is really like the whole reincarnation was to give her a new life. Etc. It's pretty well-written.

@@sta5348 sometimes it's not different, you see aqua's role is not just protecting ruby but sometimes he seem to be the only protector for her, aqua has the most screen time in the manga and the biggest role so he can be the mc and protector at the same time, overall we have akane, kana and ruby as the main characters too, but the main mc and the main characters are somehow different, the mc is the one who mostly the story(the plot) focus on him/her, main characters are the characters who are the most useful and having the most screen time after the mc and they are supporting too, side character are mostly the characters who does have little screen time but they are supporting characters too.

also in the early chapters Ruby says that Ai is the god/goddess of art, the same goddess that this video talked about - Ame no Uzume.

The crow said that there was a meaning of Aqua's reincarnation, the fact that Aqua at some point of the story, had no idea if his father is still alive makes me think that in Aqua's and the crow's previous talk, the crow gave him the role of protecting Ruby by keeping her safe physically and mentally but meanwhile she gave Ruby the role of finding the father's identity and made Ruby blame him on everything. So i think at the end of the series the one that's really going to take revenge is Ruby and not Aqua, just like how it meant to happen.

@@lordali3509 bruh, aqua's revange story was very clear from the very first before even ai died, in first chapters there is penels that are somehow spoilers from the author himself+ plus we see ruby say that she's happy bc there is some one who really trust and then she say; right onii chan? we all know ruby call aqua onii chan and then there is a panel when aqua showed up and said he doesn't care if they love him or no bc acting is he's way for revange then there that showed the plan of aqua making the movie worked out. that mean aqua finally did finish he's revange, but unless the author wanted to make another twist, now about ruby's revange well i don't think she will do it and then aqua will stop her bc aqua himself want revange unless they make up and work together under aqua's plan, also ruby is really lost and destroyed for now, i doubt she will keep herself after meeting her past life mom

Well, did it start with Ruby, or did it start with Ai? After the latest ep when the supernatural stated that Ai is gone for good, I was also thinking about this. Ai had children because of her wish to truly love someone. But, it was stated she gave birth to soulless children (I'd assume that basically means stillborn?). So I could totally see the supernatural granting her wish by reincarnating two people who really loved her as her kids. But as you said it seems like the supernatural is not really pushing for revenge anymore with how it was taunting Aqua. Even though it did put Ruby on the path for vengeance.

Could it be possible that part of the reason for him to get revenge on their dad was also to keep Ruby safe from him? Since it would fit his role to be reborn as someone to guide and look after Ruby. And Kamiki might be a big threat to Ruby life due to being related by blood while the dude is killing ambitious and popular girls. Edit: this is just some more random thoughts. But Aqua revenge is somehow related to Ai's true wish. It could be possible that Ai's wish for her children to be safe would require Aqua to decide to take care of Kamiki who is being a potential threat to Ruby.

I think it's likely it became part of Aqua's revenge. Initially, it was definitely just for Ai's sake, but with time, I think it's plausible to say it also became a way to protect Ruby. Ever since Aqua revealed that he and Ruby were Ai's children, they, theoretically, became targets of Kamiki. At least, that's what Aqua should think. So, it's likely Aqua wants to get rid of Kamiki for Ruby's sake too.

What if Crow girl pushed them to take revenge on Kamiki because he might sabotage Ruby's dream of becoming an idol? Since the father only targets actresses in their peak, he might go after Ruby to ruin the movie's production and to silence Ai (i once saw in a video that he gave white flowers to her symbolizing purity, and it also means to silence her) from telling her true nature. Just a theory

Absolutely nailed it. Chapter 121, confirms that it is all about Sarina.

I'm thinking Kamiki could be in ally with another rivalry god and the whole thing is some sort of grand chess moves last for thousands of years. Like in the American Gods kind of way.

You know, thinking about your last videos on Oshi no Ko I think you have it wrong- I think Ai is supposed to be Izanami (she who resides in the land of the dead) Hikaru is Izanagi, which would make his 3 children Ruby, Aqua and Taiki into Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi (The divine twins) and Susanno respectively. If Ruby is meant to be following Amaterasu's path, it would be interesting to see how her relationships with her brothers reflect that in this story. Let's see if we can spot anything related to the 3 regalia in coming chapters! Also be interest if Ame-no-Uzume makes some kind of appearance :) it's worth pointing out she's the Goddess of the Dawn as well as the Goddess of the performing arts.

Ngl i just found out how fucked up it is. Sarina's family didn't care about her (119 chapter and early on in the story) and they didnt come to see her when she was on her death bed. The only person that did was Goro. And now, as Ai's child, Ruby lost her favorite idol as her kid at the age of 4. She was basically raised by the director's wife. I realized just now how entirely shitty and fucked up it is, but it seems to connect and hold up the theory that it's all about Ruby. Aqua is simply a pawn trying to take revenge and protect others from the same fate as Ai.

Isn't it strange then that ai could give the DVDs to the director right before her death? I'm not saying she planned her death, but I think she already had a premonition, even if it was just a gut feeling. Come to think of it, we've never actually seen Ruby's and aqua's father kill anyone. We only ever saw the results. I can imagine that this crow girl and the father somehow know each other. But what I find most weird is that there really is a chance that Ruby and Aqua will end up together at the end of the story. We already got some joking teasers and Ruby is still in love with goro (I don't ship her. Just noticed) 🤦‍♂️😅

I think you’re on the money about Aqua being a great guide for Ruby in her career, certainly to becoming an idol. However, you could argue that her real success came when she met with Saitou after the Crow Girl got involved. Why would the Crow Girl have to get involved if Aqua was leading her on the right path? Aqua also helps so many others in their careers as well such as Melt, Kana and Akane. He just looks out for others. I don’t think there was no benefit to Aqua being reincarnated either. Aqua has no mother growing up, Ai was his opportunity of having that connection. Also, why is everyone involved in this family an orphan? I’m really enjoying your videos about Oshi no Ko but this seems to be the most farfetched but obviously still plausible. Also, upon doing my own research, I found a lot of connections with the story and characters to the game Ōkami which is game about Shinto mythology. There is Amaterasu, a village called Kamiki village and Amaterasu’s nickname is ‘Shiranui’ which Frill’s surname. You could find some interesting things by exploring that connection, I think.

Radom thought, don t listen to me, maybe ruby is the one that needs to take revenge but aqua doesn't want her to. I worry about why ruby is important. ruby must share something more with ai than aq something related to why the sociopath got near ai, and why ruby is truly the one who must push fury into said psychopath. I dont think its a simply kill him, maybe they have to do a whole investigation on said psychopaths actions regardless of the relationship to his murder

@Kaw_AIII usagi drop, or "bunny drop" in English. Is a manga about a man who basically becomes a girls adoptive father. (The guy is 30 and the girl is 6). Anime was really cute. But in the manga....the story continues, ends with them getting married because they develop feelings for eachother.
