In WW2, my dad joined the army here in the UK, in 1939 when he was 19. We sadly lost him in 1995, when he was 75. My mum was 61 when my dad died. She said that my dad told her, that during the war, if he had to travel by train, he made sure he didn't get in a carriage if one woman was in there, on her own. He didn't want to be accused of anything he didn't do - that was from 1939 to 1945. Things don't change, as there are TWO sexes - sorry to dampen your woke beliefs, far left, but it's a true fact - there are only TWO sexes. We need to be honest and real, men in dresses should NOT go into women's changing rooms, toilets or prisons.

We need to vote Reform UK. Women need safe spaces

Gender and sex aren't the same thing. Gender is a social construct of how you are supposed to act or dress according to your sex. Sex is a material reality defined by your chromosomes and sexual organs. You may dress however you want (gender) and still your sex won't change. Hence why transwomen are men. No amount of make-up, long hair or dresses will make a male a female. You either are born female or you can't be a woman. Simple enough.

No potential sexual predators in female safe spaces. Vote reform!

The other day when I went out to lunch and a trans woman was sitting behind me - I wanted to go to the toilet but decided to wait until I got home in case they came into the toilet! I felt extremely uncomfortable so I can’t imagine how these nurses feel!

In the Scottish Borders a few months ago a man dressed as a woman picked up a young girl and keeped her hostage and sexually abused the young girl over s few days..The brave young girl managed to find the landline in his house and called for help.I believe the young girl wouldn't have got into the car if he was dressed as a man but with him being dressed as a woman she must have thought she was safe.That girl will never be the same again with her ordeal..

Hi, me too. I'm 64 and in the 70's all girls school, I had a shower in a cubicle, after gym or swimming, and put my clothes on, in there too, and in my 20's at swimming pools too. I didn't want to strip off in front of my own sex, let alone men in dresses! Of course, it didn't matter in front of my boyfriend.

@ValTwineDeaner the gym locker room, also had open showers. I never took one. I didn't stink after gym. But I certainly wouldn't have taken a shower. If I did stink, I would have washed with gym clothes on. Actually, just rinse off and change in the bathroom. I remembered the old recreation that had cubicle showers. 2 can shower, but there was a divider.

I’m 84 and still value my privacy and I’m a retired nurse , but I , too, would change in a bathroom . I still do at our local swimming baths

I'm not afraid of speaking up in a horrendous situation like the nurse found herself experiencing. So not only do us women have to accommodate this crap, but rape and violence often ensue too. Call it out.

When i did my adult nursing placement at the hospital they had unisex changing rooms/showers. As I have noticed 90% of changing rooms users were men including me. Around 10 %of all were women who always just tried to hide around the corder made out of lockers just to get some privacy.I really felt sorry for them that they had to do that and get changed while us men were in the same changing room. You should see in what speed these women used to get changed just to minimise the risk of being exposed.

Please,please don't vote Labour.This bollocks will only get much,much worse.

My changing room is tiny for the number of women using it in a big department : the back wall is two loos and a shower cubicle, the front wall is all lockers and the entrance, if I touch the lockers and spread my arms I can nearly touch the loo door, so not very wide, both side walls taken up with coat hooks and more lockers. Some women use the shower room to change anyway, for modesty. If it is busy at shift change times, you have to wait or ask someone to move, to get to your coat hook or locker. If a man was in there, in his boxers you would turn around and find yourself backed up against a penis. Or bend down to tie your shoe laces and come up face to face with a penis. There will be mass complaints if a man starts using our change room.

Makes my blood boil. Unbelievable, what has happened????? Get the men out of womens spaces.

Retired OR nurse. If someone who isn't a woman is changing in the changing room, tHEy have a locker. assigned by the head nurse who was told to do so by hospital administration. If this is ok then they shouldn't mind the nurses telling patients and their families this is the hospital policy. If there is any pushback, just say you didn't want any girls old enough to go to the restroomby themselves, 12-13 years old being terrified and running out screaming for their mother. That gives you CYA and the admin can explain to the dads why this is such a great idea, especially after dad goes running in and punches trAnnie in the face.🤣

i was a nurse for 48 yrs and in the late 1970s i worked with a night sister who was trans gender i suppose in those days it was just the beginning of trans surgery anyway she was not a good nurse lacking empathy and did not like children at all and liked to talk about her sex life of course they all wear scrubs today is there no changing cubicles surely there must be as some cultures would prefer this

Slightly at a tangent, my wife needs help using the toilet, and where there are no disabled facilities I have to decide which one to use, male or female. In the women's I get strange looks sometimes, and I appreciate some people might feel uncomfortable, even though it is obvious why I'm there. I can well imagine how disconcerting it must be to have a solo man in what should be a safe, female only space.

The aggression of some transwomen proves that their testosterone is working overtime . @@eileenball3336 I don't think they would change a policy for one person. I think I know the e.g being used here and it's a handful of women. They are suing their Trust. I've worked in several hospitals and I've never encountered a shared changing room. A shared locker room. I don't know the hospital in question. I presume hundreds of nurses work there. A handful have an issue, the rest - not so much. I have trouble believing there are no private changing rooms anywhere in the hospital.

We aren't allowed to, its called 'equality'. I raised concerns at a transgender teacher being put in front of my 12 year old and that was what i was told. I was furious, and still am. That's MY son and I should have had a choice. He hadnt even heard of the word, sickening, that's negative programming.

No, it didn't SAY that, but if, as the lady says, due to cross contamination Nurses have to change out of their uniforms and back into their 'civvies' in changing rooms where trans men are allowed then, metaphorically, it is saying 'women are forced' to change in the presence of men.
