Speed, accuracy and revolutions - the three things a bowler needs in order to get a lot of strikes. It’s just a plain fact that 2-handers are able to put more speed and revolutions on the ball than 1-handers. Belmo is an elite bowler, but rolling it 2-handed gives him an advantage. Anyone who knows anything about bowling recognizes this.

2 main reasons 1- I call it the boomer argument. It's because it's non-traditional. 2- The biggest gripe is that most 2 handers only put 2 fingers in the ball, which allows more room for error in comparison to most 1 handers that put three finger in the ball. As well as on average 2 handers have a higher rev rate and power, which can make it easier to strike. Overall to me I think it's not a big deal and I bowl 1 handed. To me it's just another style.

I don’t bowl 2 handed. I grew up being taught 1 handed. But 2 handed is not a travesty to the sport. Bowling was dying and it brought in new people. Sure they can get more revs and maybe carry. But you still have a million things you need to do correctly to even get the ball in a position to strike. The form is different but you still need to have a repeatable release, hit your mark, control your speed. Still gotta pick up spares when you miss. It always comes down to who’s the better bowler

Resin was the real travesty. Plus, Jason didn't benefit from resin. No power player benefited from resin. Resin made the light hit a percentage strike for tweeners, and. messengers a common theme in the mid 90's. Once, the Power Coil 18 (Brunswick) and Superflex (Columbia) covers were put on those strong, low RG/high differential cores, holyshit. You learned what a cheater ball was. They even made reverse block easier if you had ball speed. Pure garbage. Those balls took degrees of power and finesse out of the game.

The comparison is that bowling is the only sport I know of that complains about two handed being better or more efficient, something literally every other sport exemplifies. They then use lingo like “it’s easier” to justify their position, when I could just as easily say it’s not that two handed is easy, it’s that one handed bowling “is worse”. I’m all for bowling whatever style works, it’s the complaining about the evolution of two handed that’s just incessantly annoying. 😂. Much love and thank you for your kind reply.

A good amount of bowlers are stuck in the past. Two-handed bowling is the future. Oil patterns have gotten longer and harder (that's what she said. 😈), balls have gotten stronger and more reactive, and people are adapting to transitioning conditions better than ever. The old-school ways aren't as effective anymore. Those who won't adapt to change will quit. If you think two handed is unfair/should be banned, then switch.

I understand what he’s saying I kinda just always felt that you should declare a hand. You have to remember back then bowling with two hands was taboo it was almost looked at like corking a bat in baseball. You just have all this tradition and now someone is allowed to bowl using two hands which provides an unfair advantage and all those guys had spent their entire lives bowling one handed so it’s not like you can say we’ll everyone can use two hands if they want. Yes that’s true they can but it’s kind like the rug was pulled out from underneath all these guys who had some a lifetime mastering one handed bowling then allowing Belmo to waltz’s in there and use two.

Also, it’s amazing how many people still think that both hands are used to rotate the ball and create revs. Every single two hander to ever bowl on the PBA removes the off hand before release, the revs are created with the same two fingers that any one handed bowler uses. Anyone who says both hands are used is admitting that they know nothing about the physics of bowling ball roll..it’d be impossible to impart the same axis tilt and axis rotation with both hands simultaneously.
