I like how Cady keeps saying to herself that everyone has felt what she felt, so she'll be okay. But the thing about humans is that EVERYONE is a little bit of a hypocrite, and most highscoolers don't have empathy, so they don't connect and can't see they also felt that feeling. Cady hasn't really talked to enough people to understand that they don't have empathy.
