This is the theme song of the Japanese crazy anime "Lucky Star". The song title is "Take it, my sailor school uniform". Oh my... I am not that much of a maniac old man of anime and idols, but I found out about this when I arrived at Sakura Gakuin..., hahaha...Hum.. On a serious note, I feel Yui's good sense of rhythm and dance at 1:14.

Awesome! I am glad you reacted to this. One of my absolute favorites. Su and her crazy person dance style makes this video for me. She dances 90mph on every direction at the same time.. Nice one, thanks! That was the same show where BABYMETAL debuted on stage and also the beginning of the "Wite t-short guy" legend, the Kitsune ZERO. Yui and Ayami are super precise dancing while Suzuka... she's giving her usual 100% and she looks like she's going to lose control at any moment... but she didn't and it's so enjoyable. Actually, all the girls did an amazing job. This performance ALWAYS put a smile on my face! Edit: I believe it's time for you to watch the "Friends" music video :)

The girls all had a symbol on their shirt, those are the symbols that represent them. If you check the shirt of Yui and Moa and check the Babymetal logo you might understand how the Babymetal logo works. Suzuka some time later switched from Sunflower to wings, those are also in the Babymetal logo. :-)

My favorite SG performance, yes it is the Lucky Star theme I will link a very good English version of this song but warning it is super addictive! The guy you noticed is known as white T-shirt guy and is probably the first super fan, from what I have heard he attended pretty much every SG and BM show in the early days, not sure if he still does but others know more about him. notice on the shirts Yui and Moa are wearing they have the skull and hearts that are on the BM logo.

The latest I've heard is that these days White T-shirt Guy has a kid of his own and he atteneded at Legend S. And the only other fact I know is: he was already a fan of Suzuka before SG. If you check closely in the video you'll notice he's following Suzuka's moves. From an older comment by Rick Wagner: He's a hero. I heard he had been a big fan of Karen Girl's, and he bought admission for a bunch of his friends to try and make sure that this first Sakura Gakuin event was a success. There was an earlier show that day, so he had a chance to learn some of the dance moves. : )

Marina's group Healer Girls covered this song (video on the Lantis KZread channel). I wonder if she had flashbacks to this performance when they were doing it.

I recommend you to look for the sub-units of sakura gakuin, all of them are really interesting and deserve more attention.

Yes it is, it's one of the few times SG did covers, the reason is obvious: they didn't have a lot of songs of their own. I don't know if it's some kind of original dance or dance created for/by SG

I am having trouble keeping up with you, but that is not a complaint. Ah yes, the famous White T-Shirt Guy video. I never get tired of watching this. It is another one that always brings tears of joy to my eyes. Yui and Moa are at their most adorable in this; and Su ramps up her performance to warp speed. It is easy to misidentify some of the girls at this stage. In the early days of Sakura Gakuin, I sometimes had difficulty differentiating between Nene and Raura, until Raura cut her hair short.

Never failed to deliver a smile Enjoy your Sakura Gakuin reaction, can't really go wrong with any of them ... may have to venture out from the reddit site once in a while to find some missing/other vids. White T-shirt guy is a legend :) And that Yui skull, man ... priceless

The legendary white t shirt guy and apart from Su, Moa and Yui both support there representative symbols on the babymetal logo on there t shirts. I believe Su's part of the babymetal logo is the wings, most believe it's a carry over from her karen girls days.

Completely agree, you can't watch this without a stupid grin on your face. So you spotted white T-shirt guy immediately, well done. Yes they all designed their own t-shirts. I love how Su seems to dance 50% harder than everybody else .

I was just about to add that part about Suzuka's performance, I might as well add the interview: Interviewer: What were your impressions when you first saw the three girls of BABYMTEAL? Mikiko: Yui had been a very good dancer since childhood. Her dance is rich in expressions. Moa is a quintessential idol… an actress who knows how to show the best of herself and the beauty of her facial expressions. These two girls are about the same heights, but their approaches of how to go about showing the best of themselves are different. They look like twins, but their personalities are different. That’s nice, I thought! About Su-metal, well, what else can I say, she is crazy lol Interviewer: Crazy? lol Mikiko: As soon as music is on, she would start dancing at 120% capacity with 120% focus. She’s got this innate intuition. I’ve never seen such a person. She doesn’t dance like ordinary Japanese dancers, and I’m saying it in a good sense. Interviewer: She doesn’t dance like ordinary Japanese dancers? Mikiko: No, she doesn’t lol She would be a great performer in the future, surely I thought. She’s got her intuition to learn choreography. She doesn’t memorize choreography by counting the beat. Instead, she memorizes choreography by hearing the music. In general, people learn choreography by counting rhythms but she doesn’t. She’s got this groove in her body, like nothing I’ve seen before. And this groove comes from her intuition. Interviewer: From her intuition? Mikiko: Absolutely. I don’t think Suzuka understands that herself. I would often ask her, “Why did you do that?” She would answer, “Why? Why, I don’t know.” Or, she would say, “Did I do that?” After a show, I would often tell her, “What you did at that part of the song, that was very good.” She would answer, “What? What did I do? I don’t remember.” I’m like, “Wow, this girl… she is in a way extraordinary.” I would love you to see our rehearsals sometime. Then you will know… that crazy Suzuka lol

🌸 🏫 Yui dances with total precision, Moa is a crowd pleaser, and Su is dialed up to eleven. Some things don't change. Hinata was there at the start. The three original Mini-Pati members; Nene, Raura and Marina came on later. Probably due to a costume change. Yui's skull shirt and Moa's flowers were from their own designs, later incorporated into the BABYMETAL logo. All of the members designed their own shirts in association with the MONO COMME ÇA brand. They were available in their retail stores. That same company designed one of the early Sakura Gakuin uniforms. The Sakura Gakuin song 'Hello! Ivy' is a tie-in to their Ivy Comme Ça sub-brand. That Ivy/preppy style was very popular in Japan, and is still used for a lot of school uniforms.

Several pointed out “White t-shirt guy” but maybe not quite filled you in. He is considered Fan Zero. He is held in great respect by the fanbase and you will see him at the front at many concerts from now on in his legendary white-t-shirt. He is known to many Japanese fans but out of respect for his privacy his real identity is never mentioned. He is just Fan Zero / White T-Shirt Guy. And one does not diss him or fear the ire of the Fukei and The One.... Oh, and to come in the future is the other major fan, referred to as "Number-One Fukei" or "Fukei Queen" hehe.. Spoilers!
