both involve the robot main characters dying, and Earth getting fragged by human incompetence. conclusion? Signalis is set in the same universe as Wall-E. the Empire's monarchist and the Nation's communist because everybody got turned off from capitalism after the Buy N Large fiasco.

When i first saw the promise ending, this song instantly came to mind. Had to make an edit!

@@Mitzfing The music and timing just felt like it fit with the actual scene, adding to the tragedy of what happened to those two. I headcanon that this is at least one of the songs they played on one of their anniversaries as the just danced in eachothers arms.

They certainly did, Ariane's wish was to simply die so she could end the suffering and Elster fulfilled that promise.

it literally every other ending, including white lily, Ariane still begs for death. Not this one. Imo Elster succeeds

@@lesbingus promise does not stop the loops. ESTR can’t reach the ship via Leng. There is no portal to the ship. The only thing being transferred is a signal, not a physical thing. Hence the title of the game.

​@@duda1a2z Bioresonance can alter physical reality. Ariane was Bioresonant. She altered reality while dreaming so that Elster could not only reach her, but also remember her for who she was. Thats why the story starts in Sierpienski and ends in Rotfront, Arianes childhood home. Promise ends the loop, because the Elster unit we take the armor from is the Elster from the Memory Ending. In the fake ending, a pile of massy flesh lays in the cryopod. Thats Memory Ariane who didnt die and so her cancer grew, mixing together with her Bioresonance and becoming that amalgation. In the promise ending she dies and as such, the cancer cells can no longer grow .
