*PoloReef* I have a few questions and I'm not going to take up too much of your time but I'm going to list a few things you mentioned in the video I just watched: *100 gallons of distilled or fresh water on stand by* *extra tanks* *extra equipment and wet vacs* *salts and element's* *close friends* 1) What to do or how you know your fish are stressed? 2)How much water change for 400-1000 gallon aquarium system? 3) what to do if no space for monster sized fish, coral or turtles in the event of no space when your only aquarium breaks? 4) where to buy acrylic filling or poxy when your tank needs a few repairs? 5) what element's are needed in fresh water tank 1000 gallons or more for it to be community based with live coral for continued use of being self sustaining?

Thanks for sharing your disaster! I do keep the Rubbermaid on standby but the teaching moment in this video is keeping extra mixed water on standby. Adding that to my disaster plan. I'm glad everything turned out well. You have a great team at Polo Reef.

It probably was leaking worse at first due to more water pressure so it might not have sprung a leak as early as you guys initially thought. Possibly 4:30-5am

Been there done that. 300DD bottom seal. Damage was considered from "grey water" Everything it touched had to be removed, drywall, kitchen cabinets , carpet. It was a mess. The Insurance comp paid for it but said they would only do it once. The tank was replaced under warranty. My LFS who I've shopped with for 20 years was there in an hour to help with the clean up. Also, my reef club buddies responded with help. Unfortunately, I did lose some corals. But, It definitely takes the wind out of your sail.

I had a MarineLand 200 gallon tank splitting... I'm surprised that you went near MarineLand... I had huge clamps and 2x4s keeping the tank from totally splitting while I had a custom tank made by Miracles Aquariums (great tank great people).

I love seeing these videos! New subscriber for sure. I personally have 105g salt reservoir running water changes and 105g RODI so I can make salt quick in a pinch for my 300g display. I keep both heated and circulating.

I have a 75 Gallon Tank with a 75 Gallon water system that has 75 Gallons saltwater and 75 gallons RO available at all times. I have a 100 Gallon Rubbermaid tub in storage in the garage. This is my immediate backup equipment. I am hoping to never have a tank leak, but I have a way to handle it should it happen. It will not be pretty, but manageable.

Ahh, those Marineland DD sure look nice but I never trust them after having a center brace split on me when i was filling a 55 gallon awhile back. When I spoke to a custom tank guy he said these of the shelf tanks can't handle pressure of using these Ecotech Vortech pumps. I think that is why I will save where I can but never on the Tank, that is the most important equipment .

DD marineland had common problem with front bottom seam, I know a guy who got same tank to leak and when he decided to reseal he told me that he used extra glass strip on bottom. Also I agree with other comment, please turn down back round music. Hopefully animals stay alive and good 👍🏻
