One thing I admire in Kristyn's singing is the total lack of gimmicks that are so prevalent in other modern singers. She just beautifully enunciates every word and lets the lyrics speak for themselves. Bravo!

God has gifted Kristyn tremendously, and she faithfully shares her talent to bring the glory back to him. Don't be fooled though, this is an excellent and carefully produced "professional" recording.

@@JesseDavis7373 To be sure. One can't afford to forget Christian music is a thriving commercial entity. At best one can only filter it down to limit oneself to the very, very, very few authentic singing out there who endeavor to make the unadulterated Word of God it's only theme, which again no singer can be entirely relied upon to belt out with every single production they come up with. However, having said that, Getty music does meet the mark better than the rest - scoring a very high average of 7/10.

I so agree! No gimmicks just the gospel.

My mama's been gone 3 weeks now. We sang this song around her bed as she was dying, again at her Celebration of Life and again at her burial. This was her favorite hymn

Peace be with you, your mom, and your family. She was very blessed to have you all with her at the end! We've always sung this hymn at every funeral in my family. It's very healing.

I have a felony record and yet when I see my sins not in part but the whole is nailed to His cross and bear it no more I can’t help but to praise the Lord Christ Jesus for saving a lost wretch like me

Knowing the back story of this hymn makes this absolutely heart-wrenching. So beautiful... it's brought me to tears.

This hymn reminds me that whatever i go through, God is there with me and will bring me through the dark valley for His glory!

It's really hard to say "it is well with my soul" currently. Everything looks dim. The battles that I am going through only the good Lord knows about. Yet, this song and story behind the song brings hope that no matter what He is always there to bring us through. Thank you for sharing this hymn. Love from India.

I understand. Dealing with heard diagnosis personally. Yet it is has raised my faith to another level, making me more determined than ever to declare this truth: God's word: final authority! Hallelujah!

The story behind this song makes these lyrics even more powerful. After the Great Chicago Fire almost ruined them financially, Horatio and his wife, Anna, decided that they needed to go on a vacation to Europe. Do to work problems, Horatio couldn't leave on the date they had set. But, he insisted on his wife and their children, all girls, leaving without him. While travelling to Europe, the ship his wife and daughters were on crashed. All four children, the youngest being only two, drowned. Anna sent Horatio a telegram, saying that only she survived out of their family. Later, as Horatio was going to Europe, the captain told him that they were over the very spot his daughters had perished at. Horatio went into his cabin and wrote those words while looking at the waves that had swept his young children into the sea. Only our God can give that kind of peace during such hard circumstances! I'm only sixteen, but I pray I can learn to have that kind of faith in God's sovereignty.

So excited. I loved both books Tortured for Christ and Hearts of Fire. Such beautiful testimonies. I pray daily for more faith and trust to endure like that. May we all be so blessed.

This song, and the story behind it, is truly incredible. Really unique touch of blending in the story of Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand.

CONCENTRATION ON THE WORDS, AND THE HEART OF THE SONG, IS SO CLEAR AND CLEAN. NO WARBLING! AND BEAUTIFUL VIDEO TOO.

Beautiful! Wonderous words, a great hymn, with so sad a history; but so strong a message, so great a comfort: that we may rest in our Lord Jesus Christ, knowing all indeed is well with our souls! And to blend with a story as strong as that of the Wurmbrands! I can't wait to see the movie, but it is certainly a very appropriate hymn as an anthem for their story and testimony! Suffering under various regimes and dictatorships, they consistently rested firmly in the Lord's arms. A faithful couple with a powerful story: this equally powerful hymn is the perfect blend!

I loved how she sang in Romanian as well. As I was listening to this song I was reminded of the great impact Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand had and what a legacy they left. What a faith they both had. God bless you for releasing this song it sure blessed me when hearing it!

I believe The Getty's are approaching my top 10 all-time favorite artists/bands (which includes their whole team). They're already in my top 25. They are an exquisite couple. I love their hearts for worship, mission, and the suffering church, which also represent my whole life. I'm thankful to God for their ministries.

This makes me cry, with sadness, but also with gladness. Sadness for war but gladness that Jesus makes it Well With My Soul. Sadness for people who are persecuted by race or religion, sadness for Ukraine, sadness for all the Jews killed in WW II. But the song reminds me that He will come again and He will bring about a perfect world and He will take me with Him when He comes. This is such a talented couple. The video is just fantastic.
