I love brand mid. 11 seconds of healing reduction, perma slows, give team vision with horizon and burns. You’re the debuff mage extraordinaire.

Sad to see that Brand is off-meta in mid lane, but happy to see you play him :D

he got buffed specifically to make him viable in mid lane again. he might be considered a mid laner again in a few months

A lot of the enjoyment of off-meta picks is because its fun to see new/rarely seen stuff. I would rather watch games like this with a less picked champ that is more meta than the same off-meta picks. Variety is good.

it would be cool if for moments like when you almost killed talon ~15m in, you could go into replay mode to see the hp he survived on

Also have been enjoying zyra jungle, her full clear is around 3:10-15, if you’re unlucky with rng on her plant spawn it’s latest 3:30, but doing krugs over wall and having passive spawn two plants if you’re lucky over the wall allows for such a fast clear

So refreshing to see someone not just always use the same combo (w->e) and actually do different things depending on the situation. Overall really great strategic decisions this match. For the runes only electrocute and cheap works, because is a burst and has nothing else than damage spells and passive, so you need to optimized it like that

P.S. As a brand main I like Horizon Focus on brand as well....The CDR alone is pretty nice, but it's def a luxury item. Sadly a lot of times I need heal cut and hourglass and void staff

Yeah, if you have the gold luxury and not need heal cut/mp, Liandry->rai-> horizon is a good choice, but it is rarely the case. I usually end up Liandry->void/morel->morel/void->rai

It would probably help if you set a line or a border between what is meta and what isnt, a certsin pickrate perhaps? On another note, dont be afraid to repeat champs, i personally wouldnt mind, i cant vouch for everyone though

I notice when you played brand that you always W -> E the minion waves. Wouldn't Q -> E -> W work better, since the W on already burned minions deals more damage and clears faster? Are you holding Q in case of a gank (to stun)?

first things first i love watchhing Brand gameplay as OTP. ^^ I'm playing Brand since 2016 and my thoughts about him are like it's great champ but it's rlly old. That mean most champs on mid gonna win lane (bcs better kits) but you'v got great wave clear and poke with W + E. Morever as you said in TF you cast all spells press R and you'v got penta. About runes i pref scaling DH, Gathering (but Scorge is better imo) for more AP, and Transcendence with Ultimete Hunter to cut CDR on abilities. But Comet and Electro are great too. I recomennding Demonic (till it exist) bcs that's lack of dmg you needed to kill. P.S in upcoming season will be supp item that will give you more % dmg from max health so i'm guessing Brand supp wil be even stronger

I don't really find waveclear necessary. So for me personally I really like the low cooldown stun

I play Brand mid in ranked, and I've faced 3 Talons, SUPER aggressive. After 6 they just one shot you, and start running around the map getting kills. Really annoying

I’ve been spamming him as support/mid last 3 days and have yet to lose, climbed 4 ranks just by him.

Wouldn't electrocute or even aery been better? Aery works really well with dot and you can easily proc electrocute by doing any ability + aa, because the passive burn counts as a separate ability

It's all just kind of personal preference. He's versatile when it comes to that, but arcane is probably the best for overall consistency. Electrocute is good for early game pressure but the cooldown makes it worse. Dark harvest is bait but it's fun when you make it late game with a bunch of stacks. Aery isn't great

why do you max q second? maxing it doesnt make the CC longer. if you max e second the CDs on all ur abilities sync up better you can get more 3 ability procs.

i know you did it recently but would you consider lillia mid again ? its really fun. also, personally ive had better success with RoA than with liandry's, if u wanna try something new. it feels really nice to be more tanky (and also demonic gives like 30 ap as second buy instead of the 9 with liandry's)

When malz is played he is only mid. But when brand normally is played he is most often support. So that makes it a bit more off meta imo for brand. But he still is a mid and way more meta than things like AP ez and kogmaw

why people wont play brand? because his range is shorter than other mages, and cast time longer and idiotic animation time is longer than other mages compare to other top meta mage their projectile either flight way faster or have way lower cast time.

Brand support u say? There is no such thing as Brand support in botlane. He will go 6/1/2 and the poor Ezreal will be 0/1/6

Maybe cuz you have 0 self peeling tool and are reliant on your teammates to peel for you to do damage, which is the only thing you have in your kit compared to champs like Katarina who not only have insane AoE damage as well but 11 blinks to avoid taking damage for example. Brand is just not good, period.

Brand's pretty shit mid... A counterpick at best mid...Xerath? Beats the shit out of you. Azir? beats the shit out of you. Lux? Beats the shit out of you. Anything that can out range you makes the lane awful. He's okay into melee though I'd argue he's a better ADC than mid with a Nami support
