Recently, Tesla updated the stock wheels and covers to a dark color and added a new Quicksilver paint option for certain trims. Other than that, the car has remained largely unchanged from the consumer perspective. If you look at a 2020 Model Y from the outside, it is nearly indistinguishable from a brand-new one.
However, this is set to change with the 2025 Juniper refresh. The new Model Y will feature a design consistent with the refreshed Model 3, which means it will get a completely new face, eliminating the upturned nose and replacing it with slimmer, more modern-looking headlights. The rear lights and bumper will also be updated to match the Model 3 Highland. I already covered this in one of our previous videos, so be sure to check it out.

Another thing about the exterior of the current Model Y that Tesla needs to change is the hood covering the front trunk. While the front trunk adds a decent amount of storage, the biggest problem is that the hood doesn’t power open like we're seeing from many other EVs today, meaning you need to open it manually. That’s one small thing I hope Tesla fixes in the new 2025 refresh Model Y. So do you think there are any other changes Tesla needs to make to the exterior of the Model Y? Despite being somewhat small around the outside for an SUV, the Tesla Model Y comfortably fits five people and still offers plenty of storage space. A seven-seat option is available on Tesla's website, but it's important to note that the rear seats are quite small. The two front seats are spacious and comfortable, and the rear seats can recline slightly, offering good headroom thanks to the all-glass roof. This glass roof enhances the open feel of the car, adds headroom, and lets in light, but it can get quite warm in summer, even though it's tinted. This is an issue that Tesla needs to address in future models of the Model Y.

They need to put the stalks back in ~ too radical a move .... show me just one driver in the world that has said 'I don't want any stalks in my next car' !!!!!

I actually don't mind it in every test drive that I've done. I do like everything on the steering wheel.
The removal of stalks behind the steering wheel is a bold move.

But why you need that? Just curious.
Minor changes, tmo new headlights are worse and look cheaper - nothing like the current matrix lights but most importantly no word about extra range - there are a few battery plans from Tesla about company suppliers that might fail. Also what is wrong with the suspension now? It is very comfortable and sporty. I think they might mess up

Thanks for all of that information. Lemme correct a bit: Model Y has extra range option, but only for RWD trim that has been replaced by LR RWD now. About battery, I don't want to delve further into whether they can be success or not, that's the future story and time will tell. About suspension, just a small number of customer feel it bulky and very hard to drive through bad road, and most of them are Model Y made before 2022. And not to mention one factor that also affect a few customer, that's the build quality, but Tesla already fix that.

Tesla must correct its production qualities for the benefit of the buyers and not only for its own benefit for saving in the production of the vehicle. It seems ridiculous that Tesla is constantly talking about improvements and savings in the production of the vehicle. In practice, this vehicle is still far from quality production. We must not forget that Tesla is industrially lagging behind in the field of batteries. The ranges she declares are far from reality. It recently used bad BYD batteries. I'm hoping the new batteries it uses from CALT will be a marked improvement in actual range. Someone knows where Tesla's most unsuccessful 4680 batteries have gone. ?

Thanks for all of these information. 4680 is indeed got some improvement, but it's far from a perfect battery for EV. So we will wait and see whether keep on improve it or just abandon it for good
