Every bridge I’ve ever seen is like 13’6” or whatever it is. Iv never seen one that said it’s 144 inches they don’t post signs in inches and inches. It’s how many feet and inches. Just saying. I’ve driven for many years and I’ve built things out of wood and I always measured in feet and inches. Not just inches that throws a guy off every time. 🤪

Ron Pratt mostly has to move trailers from the accident spot to his shop, this thing has to go a long way which makes it much more complicated. His company also has a special long bed trailer to haul trailers on, whereas Steve has this low bed that simply is too short for this job. This wrecker seems to have already had plenty of trouble with the customer on the phone, because he arrived already pissed and his mood hasn't gotten any better seeing that the situation is even worse than the customer made it out to be. Now he fears he's going to end up with part of the bill not being paid because he has zero trust in the customer This is a case of a customer trying to make HIS problem the problem of other people: the wrecker and Steve and the wrecker simply isn't buying it.

You said it right when talking about how to deal with the Guy- he's stuck in his ways and just wants' results not questions. Maybe the solution is to just suck up the pain and take a hit a few jobs but then hit him hard with the next one - I get the feeling the guy is running out of companies that will provide him with transport - He's got a bad rep' in the industry no doubt so keep him onside and wean him off cut-throat rates by just getting it dun in the short term? this probably doesn't make much sense but there is a saying that sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate - if this guy is good money long term then figure out a mutually acceptable game plan so you don't have to have those pissy phone conversations with him but your rate slowly climbs? that's a conversation you will need to have with your employer of course as they agree the rate. Great content as always - I hope things are still on the mend with your Father

Nice touch promoting his company. He appears to be be very experienced, has excellent equipment (that rig looked brand new). Too bad he bought that trailer, likely it is mainly for the dump body and hydraulics, the frame is too badly damaged. Personally I think it should have been sold for scrap.

Why would anyone across the country want a rusted out shit trailer? The whole thing seems bizarre to me.

Man! if they're going to put the trailer back in service; think I'd let the wrecker drop it by a local welding shop; let them make it road worthy; some temp tags, 'power only' it home
