Still a nice elevator but that is a big missed opportunity when installing that

I bet Filechia wouldn’t be so like an erratic snowman when he sees this elevator that could’ve easily been made glass

No, it shouldn't have been glass. If you noticed the sunlight angles, it would go directly into the elevator, and make it very difficult to keep cool in the summer, possibly a danger if it were to get stuck. I wish Worcester thought of that when they built the Major Taylor garage, as those get uncomfortably hot.

air conditioner on the car top Hilton in Atlanta has it on the external glass elevators.

Are they getting a lot of Southern exposure? Those generally don't get glass. If you can put the best of AC units in, then it works, but most opt just to not go glass where there's a lot of sun.

I think they wanted glass elevators to get a view of the city while going up. The AC seems to work pretty well. Interesting setup of the Hilton Elevators as they have no shafted enclosed at all, so the elevators are completely exposed to the elements.

I feel your pain! I hate it when they put an elevator in a parking deck or somewhere that screams to be made of glass with a glass shaft, but they don't!

The elevator at Best Buy in Chelsea New York is like this too.

Yep could’ve easily been made a glass elevator, it reminds me of that not so scenic TK impulse that you filmed a while back

This reminds me of Kohl’s in fort Walton Florida beach it had Schindler elevator which had 2 floors and it had glass windows but they covers it up.

Not too long ago they modernized the elevator at the Peekskill Metro North Train station to some KONE, and it has a glass shaft, but the elevator car is not glass.

roblox president5 Alot of DLR/Crossrail stations have ecodiscs so where I live it's pretty much common to see an ecodisc as a train station lift.

I hope Filechia sees this...
