I bought the exo off the back of your original flux video and it's been a game changer for me, thanks for the informative content guys 👍

i've used a flux everyday for over a year, i love it and i agree with you on the screen, i would also like if they added some edges or something to the center ring to keep it from rolling, i know the exo has that in the grip but i like the size of the flux grip better. it would be cool to be able to order the batteries in different colors besides black to help tell the difference when using a flux and exo at the same time, they look the same when bagged.

I agree 100% with the thread adjustment for needle depth, I use a few brands of cartridges and fuck with needle depth constantly throughout a single tattoo for different effects, some times depending on the configuration, especially larger mags it feels like it isn’t reaching the drive pin or there’s a slight gap between the 0.1-4.0mm where it’s bouncing or something. I don’t know, almost everyday I think about going back to my flite and a shagbuilt lol

I use my FK flux and EXO every day it’s a great solid machine but like you said nothings perfect I think they should make the option to buy the Rca adapter separately so people can have a backup plan for the flux and I do wish they would have the disposable grips available soon It’s been a long time and yet still no grips and I do get the shortages of things and the whole pandemic but maybe instead of 15 colors of a machine you can only get if you buy the whole machine Make the option to purchase different color batteries and grips a option just a few thoughts great video as always keep up the good work

I will agree with a shallower needle depth , I would'nt do a time off mode just because you could be doing a break with a client and they may take more than 10 min but I will agree about using buttons on the battery to shut it off, the battery percentage displayed is a must I have had mine on charge expecting a long session then for some reason it only lasted 3hrs.As I said previously best tattoo channel to date Awesome video, keep it up you guys.

I love my flux wireless and my Exo wireless ! I’m anxious to get my new powerbolt plus and see how it and the new wireless foot pedal work !!

I do love it and get around 8 hours from a single charge but even if I fully charge it the battery it is dead the next day or almost dead and I have to leave it charging overnight. The travel mode works a little but still somehow drains it's battery over the weekend.

Just get the bishop wand shader/packer. I had both flux and exo it’s good but a bit over price. They could both use a adjustment to make it great a machine.

I think FK Irons saw this video and all the battery points you made have been applied to the new powerbolt on the new Flux Max 🤙

M EXO has that loose feeling too, so I put electrical tape inside so I don't hear it wabble.

Hivecaps has some new hive keeps to hold ink Bottles !

And this is why I went with Sol nova unlimited lol. Flux has a bit more issues atm

Disposable tubes like the Xion and the optional RCA input like the Exo would be a huge improvement.

The needle hang thing bugs me to . I'm surprised it's never been addressed some carts have shorter back stems like davinci v2 and fit great.. I'm wondering if the 3.2 exo has the same needle hang issue or is it solved by losing 0.8 stroke

You need to update to the newst firmware I'm almost positive it fixed the battery drain issue I've been testing it . There is also new options, new controls they haven't told anyone about. You will notice after the update holdin power till red takes longer. Because there is more menu options/ light increments. Now if you hold till green it will enable .01 \ 0 .5 adjustment mode toggle. Holding till yellow or orange was to toggle led dimming mode. And new e give short cut press up and down together Is fast way to toggle w give . I've left my lightning bolt uni out for days no charge and it's still showing green flashing as full or close . I also think the dim led will extend battery life a bit

The video was recorded prior to the new firmware update coming out and from what I was told by FK at the time the battery draining was something that can’t be helped. So they may have fixed it since I filmed the video. I’ll download it and have a check.

Did you notice that when e-give is active the led doesn’t show real time feedback while tattooing anymore after the last update? If yes, do you know if there’s an option to change it back? Thanks

Packer is better for line work out of the two. Flux in my opinion is better for black and grey. But others may disagree.

Oh gosh , I hope fk irons hear you . Because the fact that this machine does not use screen it make it really uncomfortable to work!

I connected the flux with the app and the battery somehow broke... this was my last machine by fk irons and i have the xion, 4x coils and the flux

This was a common problem with the app, and FK wasn’t real public or clear about it at all. I bricked both my batteries like..third day I got it. Had to send them away to be manually reset, didn’t cost me anything and only took like..a week or so Not sure if the problems resolved or not I got them back and never connected them or turned the blue tooth on again lol

Did you call customer service? I heard they recently uncover a "bug" in one of battery control board microchips which causes it stop charging and they'll replace it for free since is a workmanship defect.

U use the flux max yet?

@@ThatTattooShow FKIrons are missing a bigger chance in making more money as they should sell replacement motor than forcing someone to spend more money just to get another motor and battery. I have a friend who spent €1500 and got 4 years out of the spektra flux and now he had to spend another €1500 just to get another motor and spare battery it day light robbery to be honest

Did he not send it in for a repair? That would have cost a lot less than buying a new machine. That being said, how much money he’s probably made using that machine will massively outweigh any of the cost, so really it’s a good investment. Ya can’t please everyone and people do like a have moan lol.

So you you review the flux but you give it credit for things that only exist with the exo? The flux doesnt come with the rca connection or different stroke options..

Jokes aside. Even if I didn’t have an RCA connector I would still be able to use the flux if the battery went. By either using one of my other power bolts or buying another battery, which would still be cheaper than getting a competitor machines repaired, so the machine wouldn’t be redundant. As for the other options, I never said that the flux has multiple options. What I said is, if you don’t like stroke length of the flux FK Irons have machines with multiple stroke lengths available which means FK Irons has the widest range of different option stroke lengths on wireless pens.

I ment that you cant give this machine credit for things that cost extra or exist in another model, thats not a legit review.. anyway i just switch to flux from cheyenne unlimited 4 mm, not sure what i feel about it yet, thanks for sharing the info

@@ThatTattooShow the difference is that you have to pay about 300 bucks if your battery dies, instead of having the option to switch out just the battery for a few bucks..

Still it better than having to pay over £400 for when a machine breaks and needs repairing. Even if you were able to replace the battery the in the flux like you can with other non modular brands. It would still be better to have the modular option. Like wouldn’t you rather not having to send off your whole machine to be repaired when it’s just the power supply section that’s faulty. I think across the board wireless pens should have the modular rca connector and power pack/battery pack.

Seems to me like you are trying too hard to make it look like great machine... Man, that power bolt system they came up with is dumb as hell. For that price I want a screen where I can see the information, and I want 0.1 volt increments. I mean, it's just basic stuff. Fk irons is playing to be the Apple of tattoo machines, restricting basic stuff and charging like it is a "perfect dessign"

Seems to me that this comment is about a year too late. They have a screen and the 0.1 increments since then.

It's likley the bluetooth feature trying to automatically pair. Putting it into flight mode solves this.

@@JerZyTattoos I tried this. It still drains the battery. I have spare battery charge both and put one in flight mode the battery is drained over the weekend. Or if it's on its drained over night. It's a bummer when I forget to charge it on the night time
