    As an Israeli, I totally agree with them. I hope to meet people and have a ski trip in Lebanon or a good shawarma meal with locals in Syria. I also would love peace with all of the countries in the Arabian peninsula as we can help each other in so many ways. But most importantly in my opinion is to opefully have peace with the Palestinians soon.

    So it seemed all the Jewish Israelis want peace with the Arab countries and actually want to visit. Only the Arab student boy was against - he supported Nasrallah and said clearly that the majority of Palestinians support Nasrallah (Hezbollah). This is why there will not be peace with the Palestinians until they change their tune.

    محمد العراقي Why did Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon etc attack Israel in 1948? To kill the Jews and take their land (all of it legitmately purchased). Well you Arabs lost. And Israel became larger. And you lost again in 1967. And Jordan lost the West Bank (which it never intended to give to any Palestinians) and then you lost again in 1973. I could go on. You all need to make peace with Israel, forget the Palestinians who are nothing but trouble, and fix your own lives.

    محمد العراقي Oh yes in 73 it was lose. Where do you get your news? Israel was forced to stop 101 miles east of Cairo - Israel was shelling Damascus and on the road to it. Syrian forces had collapsed. Jordan smartly stayed out of it. As for South Lebanon - how long was Israel supposed to sit by and let the PLO attack from South Lebanon. You can whine all you want, but you Arabs are all at fault for this. You lost the wars and you can't deal with it.

When you think about it ,there is sooo much tension between Sunni and Shia that they are basically their own religions, Sunnis are in their own areas and Shias are in other areas,Christians stick together. Sunni 27% Shia 27% and Christian 40%...we're not worried. Lebanon has been rebuilt and is still the Paris of the Middle-East

I approached her and she told me that she was an Israeli all of a sudden i remembered all the nasty horrible things they use to tell us about these people when i was in my country . I looked at her one more time then i realized she was just an ordinary innocent kid same as me . It never stopped me from being her friend and loving her secretly (since i never had the courage to tell her that i was into her .) At the end we are all normal human beings we have a lot more in common than we can imagine .just don't let politics fill your hearts with ignorance and hatred . Everyone prefer to have peace and love rather than war and hatred .

    As a Lebanese, I wish we had peace too! I would love to visit Israel. I know a lot of people in Lebanon share the same opinion but can't speak up because it's a taboo over here. At the same time, please understand why the majority doesn't want peace. Israel has been very aggressive against Lebanon, and let's not get into arguments about Hezbolalh firing rockets and who started what. The fact is, Israel has been VERY aggressive and DESTROYED Lebanon on multiple occasions. You can find casualties in most families, so people hold a grudge against Israel, and it's a very sensitive issue... I think the Israeli people are friendly and we have a lot of culture in common. But the Israeli government, when it comes to Lebanon, is as evil as Hezbollah, if not more (probably more).

Israeli government is terrible, even you cant deny that its destroying every bit of palestine since 1948 until now. I know it'd be good for people if borders open and then israelis can come to lebanon, visit beirut, the casinos, go to jeita grotto, and taste middle eastern food at its finest. Our country is awesome and loaded with historc sights like old mosques, churches and even synagogues. This way if you ever want to travel, you'll just have to cross the border in your car and experience an amazing trip. But sadly, as you said it will never happen, and only the israeli government is to blame. If they are capable of making peace they would have. Do you want peace?

  • @ForeverRepublic

    @ForeverRepublic

    8 жыл бұрын

    Omar Safwan Hi Omar For me, and for the Israeli government, recognizing Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state is a minimal requirement for peace. We did not destroy Palestine. Palestine was the name given to the land by the Romans to insult the native inhabitants (Jews). The Arabs, or Palestinians, have been offered a state numerous times by the UN and by Israel for the past 80 years. In 1922, 1937, 1947, 1967, 1990's and in 2008. The first partition plan gave Arabs 80% of the land and gave Jews 20%, and even still the Jews accepted it, but the Arabs denied it. That was in 1937, you can find a link to that proposal here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peel_Commission Proposed borders: www.passia.org/palestine_facts/MAPS/newpdf/Peel1937-new.gif Israel has tried and tried again to make peace with the Palestinians, and they have rejected every offer. The current situation is largely if not entirely the result of their unwillingness to compromise. Like I said, I understand the hatred many Lebanese hold toward Israel, but in time this hatred will soften. If you want to talk about genetics, Lebanese and Jews are very closely related. Our countries were apart of the same kingdoms. And if Germany and Israel can make peace, so can Lebanon and Israel. It will take time though.

  • @omarsafwan4209

    @omarsafwan4209

    +ForeverRepublic I don't think you can blame them, even though better deals were offered and An aggreement would have been better, you can't just go take people's lands and claim them by force. If the state of Israel ever wanted to exist, they should have started in a better way then how they did it, maybe Palestinians would have accepted them and no problems would occur. I mean I'm a Muslim living in Beirut, and now I can't even cross the borders to pray at al Aqsa holy mosque in Jerusalem. I agree with you that nowadays we should start putting the past behind, and yes peace is inevitable, it will happen undoubtedly and it's better for economy in this modern era. But as an Arab, and because of the WAY Israel took the lands, I can't help but exercise caution.

    Israelis come visit us in Egypt , we already have peace between governments, but people in Egypt still have some hate to Jews in general and Israelis specifically cause of Gamal Abdel Nasser's anti-Jewish speeches, which affected very, very bad, because he could speak, even charismatic, so I think that Jews and Israelis should pay many visits to Egypt and talk with Egyptians to increase their understanding of each other and reduce this hatred We cannot visit Israel for two reasons. The first is that the economic situation does not allow all Egyptians or a very large group of Egyptians to visit Israel. Secondly, the Israelis are more open to peace, unlike the Egyptians.. love and peace from Egypt

    Nina Torees I'm an Israeli and I support the current gov cus in the past Israelis were leftists and want peace (Rabin and the Oslo agreement) and we didn't got peace only sueside bombers that kills buses of children, and Sharon (the agreements of gosh ezion, that give Gaza to the Palestinians with an open borders at first) cus they attacked Israel (that is why we closed borders) and till today they trow rockets from the places we give them. because of current gov the death (on both sides) has been a lot low for a long time. cus the licod (the gov) are not completely right or completely left. it just keep the agreements as they are and doesn't change anything.

    There is a love hate relationship between Israelis and Lebanese, as in Israelis love Lebanese while Lebanese hate Israelis. It's quite comical sometimes. If it was up to any Israeli, there would not only be peace with Lebanon, but full alliance, and israelis would also flock there for vacation. Sadly, Lebanese can't even have peace among themselves, so there's no way they'd have peace with us.

    @@roy3529 The herd mentality in the Arab society has a lot of power, and it's hard to go against it, can see by the people that write nice comments from Lebanon, and later can see people calling them traitors,liar, and so on, that's a very aggressive way to show disagreement and discourage any new opinions that contradict or don't agree with the common ones, no pluralism.
