There are many comments here downplaying the actions of Israel. Alternatively, there are many comments blaming solely Israel and forgetting the role of Hamas. While top Hamas officials enjoy a luxury lifestyle in Qatar and other countries, their people suffer. Let’s not forget that they continue to prolong this war and endanger civilians by operating in or near civilian areas, shooting rockets into Israel and holding onto hostages. No one wants the people of Gaza because everyone in the region knows they bring nothing but major trouble with them and a culture of terrorism wherever they go. Just look at what they did to Lebanon in the 60's. Completely destavilized yhe country by allowing Palestinian refugees in. Just look at why Gaza even exists. Because Egypt rejected having the Gaza strip as part of Egypt when they got back the entire Sinai Peninsula. The most tolerant people for Palestinians were the Israelis until October 7th.

Why should they surrender? Support for Palestinians has never been stronger and support for Israe isl weaker worldwide than its ever been. If Israel is to survive, Israel must change. The age of colonialism is over regardless of how desperately Israel fights to maintain it in Palestine. Although there is plenty of red paint throughout this conflict, the fact remains that the pre-eminent obstacle to peace is Israel's colonisation of Palestine. Israel can not win against the changes of the times we are now in. There is no going back to a time when colonialism was seen as acceptable or even as being positive.
