Entire communities were killed by American soldiers in the same way as this attack happened. As she said it was a targeted attack. Israels presence in Palestine cannot even be referred to as 'Occupation'. That implies that them being there is a temporary measure. We know this is not the case. Let's call it what it is; Colonisation. The fact that Palestine doesn't even have an army whereas Israel has one of the most capable and equipped armies in the world, is rarely if ever mentioned. The fact that the people of Palestine have had their land stolen from them is never seen as cause for them having the desire to fight back either (however ill equipped they are to do so).

The term "terrorist" is used in international law prolifically because in International law, there is no clear legal definition of "Terrorist" - as in; you can call anyone a terrorist in the scope of international law without fear of anyone (even with huge resources) being able to legally fight back against this because it's such an ambiguous term, in this context. What is the difference between a freedom fighter and a terrorist? What is the difference between an IDF soldier in the Occupied Lands and a terrorist? It's such a loaded and meaningless term, but it's used to great effect to subconsciously cause the listener / reader / watcher to pick a side. Why don't we call them Freedom Fighters from now on? Under the Geneva Convention (signed in 1951 by Israel) these people who resist a racist and ongoing occupation are freedom fighters. They have a legal definition they exactly fit.

Oh there is a definition. A terrorist is someone who uses violence, or the threat of it, for political gain. So anyone who actually seeks to change the status quo, is a terrorist. Notice that Israeli soldiers are not called terrorists, despite genocide being a political and violent act. Or that the US' soldiers are not called terrorists, despite slaughtering innocent people for Western dominance of Eurasia for centuries.

CLARIFICATION: Geneva Convetion of Human rights Protocol 1 (1977) states: that the convention applies in "armed conflicts in which peoples are fighting against colonial domination and alien occupation and against racist régimes in the exercise of their right of self-determination", which has been interpreted as denying protections to Israel. Israel has NOT signed/accepted/retified this addition to the Convention, so under international law armed Palestinians are Freedome Fighters (like those in Ukraine as of 2022/23) but not under Israeli Occupation Law (surprise!)

Why are Israeli settlers accompanied by armed soldiers not classed as terrorists when they desecrate al Aqsa mosque, or when they demolish the homes of Palestinians, the list is so long. A big part of the problem is the complicit silence from neighbouring countries in the Middle East, who instead of speaking out against the injustices perpetuated, are now normalising relations with Israel.

@@AlexanderY18 Anti-Israeli/Antisemitic propaganda has led them to believe that carrying out terrorist attacks by Palestinian Arabs or Arab children can lead to the destruction of Israel, a technologically advanced and nuclear-powered nation that has successfully defended itself in wars initiated by several Arab countries collectively. Therefore, they demonstrate indifference towards the well-being of those Arab children and the potential harm that tourists may face. Propaganda causes people to become intellectually limited or less informed.

She dared to ask because she is a journalist with integrity and courage. Israel seems to have a 007 like right to kill with no questions asked. Naftali Bennet is surprised that someone did ask him. An arrogant bully with killing license.
