Pretty reasonable to be worried about the current situation. I don't think most people realise how tenuous the situation is and how a couple of wrong moves / miscalculations / missteps could trigger a huge regional war.

How would the US respond if someone bombed their consulate and killed a bunch of important people? Israel attacked Iran, Iran responded, this is not complicated. Iran has even been so gracious as to say the matter is now concluded, even though they killed zero people in return. If Israel is so eager for war they decline this easy win, they are lead by psychotic leaders.

The "West" is never going to fight Israel, and I'm far from certain the "West" is going to do much more for Ukraine. But the US alone could cause immense damage to Iran, more than enough to render it incapable of further action, and Russia is not in a good position to help Iran much either.
