Well they could save up and buy them back? After all most of the land was actually purchased and recorded by those buying the land. Pretty much nothing was stolen. Don't forget, or maybe you didn't know, most of the land given Israel was swamp, mosquito infested or barren desert land where no one lived. Palestine Mandate included the land now Israel and the whole of the land now called Jordan. Jordan did not exists before. Jordan is muslim country 8 times the size of Israel, who got the better deal. There were no Palestinian people before 1948, just Arabs. there is no historical mention of Palestinians in any record or in any archaeological evidence.
