I recently went through the same thing and through the Grace of God was saved. I had been feeling disconnected from God and the negatives thoughts grew and grew until I had my first thought of "maybe the world would be a better place without me", I recognized that these thoughts would eventually grow into suicidal ones and was desperate to stop them. I felt like I was fighting myself, fighting my thoughts. I then came across a video about fasting and decided to fast. This was my first time and I was desperately praying to Him and worshipping Him. I got a revelation that I'll only overcome my anxiety by placing Jesus at the centre of my thoughts. I have never felt peace like that. There's much more to how I felt and what He has done for me but just know that He will do it for you too. Phillipians 4:6-9 " Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."

My precious friend and believer in Christ. I’m not going to deny your feeling or opinion about your faith. Yet I truly believe that The Author and Perfector of our faith would not allow you to “loose” your faith. I do believe the enemy will speak lies to convince us we have lost our faith because of our circumstances, we are no longer children of God and have us questioning our walk/faith/salvation. But praise be to God for the promises in His Word. Promises that: *NOTHING can separate us from His love *Those whom God has given to Christ will not be lost *Faith the size of a mustard seed (which is a tad bigger than this * is all we need! I too have recently gone thru my “valley of the shadow of death” … questioned myself if I was a believer and truly saved BUT GOD lovingly reassured me thru His Word that I am His for eternity. You are too. Use the Bible as your weapon when the enemy speaks lies (and he will) in your thoughts to detail you form the narrow path in God. Jesus died so that you may live. Live my loved one…LIVE!!! ❤🎉👏🏾✨❤️‍🔥✨❤️‍🔥🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Personally, I found a better way... and that is to allow the Holy Spirit to teach you to voluntarily humble myself. When I learned to ask Him and LISTEN, my process became less painful.. "Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted," (Mathew 23:12). "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you," (1 Peter 5:6-7). God tells us to humble ourselves! If you leave it to God to humble you, it is more painful! However, because of the fallen nature, many have pride that blocks them from embracing God's heart and character of humility, and it makes it harder to develop a heart of humility. Therefore, in God's loving kindness, He takes us through a humbling process so we can get back to His nature that allows Him to demonstrate His humility, meekness, kindness, and mercy to bless and exalt us in our latter end!! Sons, if you are willing to voluntarily pursue and develop a heart of humility according to God's character, and put it in practice, you can be in the advanced class of God's process! Developing humility helps you to better understand the purpose of the process and what God is trying to accomplish in your life. That is not to say there won't be some areas of pride that won't be more stubborn and will even block humility from developing inside of you, but continuing to develop and practice humility will help you see them more clearly and overcome those pockets of pride with a heart of humility! Entrust, trust, commend, deliver, give over, hand over, turn over, relinquish... Pledge, devote, dedicate. Strong's defines "commit" as: to roll. Are you still too dependent upon your works and your performance, that you have not committed them to the Lord? Until you get to the place of committing everything over to God, He can't establish the way you think. There has to be a complete surrender and a commitment to give Him everything.
