The main difference then(60's->10's) and now ain't politics, measures or ideas... It's the fact that the new generation of spokespeople don't know how to handle international communication. Most people in media, the Knesset etc. talk in interviews and social media as if they spoke to locals, because among the locals certain ideas and concepts are just "common sense", i would to be fair not even be surprised if they don't even realize that the previous generations of diplomats have spent decades making Israel more palatable for the world. Why is Israel not kicked out of the UN? Israel has broken every aspect of international humanitarian law, Geneva Conventions, why the perpetrators of those crime not charged and brought before the ICC? When is ICJ going to rule on South Africa’s application?

The level of systemic colonialist settler culture they’ve adopted is astounding. Their education systems teach that “the Arabs” aren’t deserving of rights and are all the same; therefore justifying pushing the Palestinians out of the country to other Arab countries. I could not believe what their education system teaches. It would be like if our education system taught that Native Americans are subhuman and deserved to lose their lands because they weren’t using it right. Their national mythology includes the idea that it was a bare desert when the Palestinians had the country and the Israelis made the land bloom. I saw someone arguing this on YT yesterday. It’s the Euro-supremacist, colonial settler justification for taking land that we’ve seen throughout history. It’s “those dark skinned natives didn’t use the land properly and don’t deserve it; but we Europeans are better and know how to make the land bloom, therefore we should have it” type attitude. And they’re completely unabashed about expressing this ideology because that’s what they’ve been taught for their entire lives. And it’s become completely totalitarian. No dissent is allowed and any expression of support for the Palestinian Cause is grounds for arrest. There’s no freedom of speech whatsoever.

When I was in USN when we had Liberty they told us not to go to West Bank or Gaza because they were Terrorists as well as Israel because they had Issues with Military personal. Their objective is to illegally take over the whole of Palestine and expel Palestinians, that's what they've been doing steadily for decades. Every "war" they declare (as if mass murder of the ones they want exterminated & heinous destruction can really be called a war...), they take the opportunity to accelerate their illegal takeover.

I think it's a major category error to conflate Hamas, the Palestinian people, and the concept of "resistance," as if any one implies the other. We have to include terrorism as part of the linguistic and moral mix. Hamas's attacks on Oct. 7 were a mixture of resistance against military occupiers and terror against unarmed civilians. Resistance against occupation has some degree of legal permissibility for occupied peoples; terrorism does not. Failure to make this distinction risks smearing the Palestinian people with the blood shed by Hamas terrorists and thereby invalidating the entire set of other arguments needed to defend the justice of the Palestinian cause. Terrorism does nothing but discredit its advocates, while utterly failiing to create favorable conditions to reduce violence and remedy injustice.

I feel like the ICC doesn’t care.they could have done something for years, they could have done something in the last couple months but they did nothing .

@@mihaelaliptcheva-ivanova119 I am aware of all this and it's all true. however there was no judgment or trial at all within the ICC and since Palestine is under the ICC jurisdiction they have a responsibility to investigate violations. they have been investigating since 2019 for the 2014 war... like that's pretty ineficient. Like I feel like all these systems put in place have monumentally failed the Palestinian people.

The truth is that Jewish people were there first , long before even Palestine existed.

Everyone talks about International Law. Take all these International Laws, treaties, accords, &c and send these documents to the restrooms of the UN building. No one follows them; no one is held accountable. The only, practical use for these document is toilet paper.
