I think DDP's comments unintentionally made Izzy go to a dark place mentally. Izzy didn't fit in Nigeria as he was sheltered and came from an extremely wealthy family. In New Zealand, he felt alien because he was a black immigrant. DDP basically implying that Izzy is a false African champion struck a nerve because Izzy didn't feel accepted by any group growing up, which he's compensating for now with the whole "Broken Native" thing.

As for Izzy having servants, labor is very cheap in africa and common among middle and even upper-lower class famillies. Izzy was not digging around the dirt, but he also was not spoiled either.
