The band is 100% as always, Alex is on point! But this is one of those songs that is lost and won with the backing vocals... Mel, Pina, and Nikki are a magical combination!

Great lead singer, great backup singers, great guitarists, great keyboards, great drummer…….hell…everyone is awesome.

HSCC you don't realise how much your attracting tourism to Adelaide. Internationally the world can't believe the enormity of singers and musicians you have living in such a small city with world international talent. Australia is definitely on the musical map. Truly your a shining light looking down from space.

I think I’ve watched this video like 30 times. The mix, arrangement, musicianship, vocals, and harmonies are perfect. Best rhythm section - bass and drums are super solid. You have a fan in the States!

I’m glad to see so many Babys and John Waite appreciators out there. Never got the respect they deserved. Wait is one of my top 2 favourite singers.

Backing vocals are just sublime. Excellent!

First time I listen to Alex and he is just as great as the rest. Nikki, Mel, and Pina brilliant as usual.

The Mayor of Adelaide should present The HSCC with the 'Key to the City' for bringing so much joy with such great music.

Still a favorite of mine after all these months and years (along with Easy Lover). I'm so glad that the camera operator appreciated that the Three Ladies were the stars of this video. Even though Alex does a very creditable job, it's the exuberance of Nikki, Mel and Pina that make this video so dynamic and enjoyable. Thank you, Camera Person!

Mark Meyer is an amazing drummer. He performs this song perfectly, showing great restraint, always being critically aware of maintaining tempo and playing rock solid with no unnecessary fills. Great snare drum sound.

The background chorus was pretty much the star of the original and they manage it beautifully here, too--nice work, all around, HSCC!

This whole group blows me away with how each member seems to be a great singer/s-musician, and they all are having a wicked excellent time, which hopefully all of us experience a lot!! As a baby boomer, 68, this playlist is from Heaven!! This is the first Country Club I'd ever want to be a member of.

I have no idea where I have been LOL right now the first time I've ever heard hscc cover this song this was one of my favorites growing up as a teenager and this song and their version of it is outstanding!!

if i was a singer, i'd want these 3 ladies backing me ALWAYS, they ROCK!

I'm late to the parade on this song. I liked the original but, to me, its sound was engineered 'flat'. The highs weren't there and the lows were muted. First time I listened to this HSCC version was through my tinny PC monitor speakers. Even then, the background vocalists almost stole the show. I ran the sound through an amp, donned some headphones then listened again. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, what a sound. Everyone with HSCC is excellent every time but the vocalists blew me away. I noticed that their sound was not directional, not coming from where they were standing, it was pumped wide through both stereo channels. I realized then that as talented as everyone is, it's the mixing that makes this version exceptional. The highs are there, the lows are there, every instrument and every voice is easily discernible, no ducking. Wow. Just damn wow.

This is the BEST performance by HSCC all time! Encore please!

She is incredibly compelling to watch and hear.

This is by far the best song they have done.

Very good job...this band has their own signature on this song, yet it's like the original....talented to be able to do that.

Great job on one of the most forgotten gems in pop history - good to see it finding a new audience in the 21st century.

i thought UDO’s version of this song was the best i had heard. HSCC just smokes UDO. This is the gold standard for this song now....just absolutely lit.

Agreed. This is a great song on its own, but IMO, one of HSCC top 3-4 Best covers in their archive. Add to it I’m Every Woman Chaka Khan), Guilty (Streisand/ Gibb), Money’s Too Tight (Simply Red), and Roxanne (Police).. and I find myself repeatedly listening to these 5. Mind you there are so many other great covers by these guys!!

Amazing women matching the original American gospel singers background vocals... Pina got the solo task doing the backgrounds, love her voice.

Everyone in the band is extra special and shines so bright! But that Nikki has the most beautiful voice my ears have ever heard since the 1980's! Maybe it's because I'm a Olivia Newton John fan... dunno... But my God! She not only has amazing dance moves, her moves are one with the music! She is so in tune!

This is my go to song for this group. it just blows out of the water i remember the orginal and this is just as good.

As a frustrated musical student, I wish I could see the sheet music for those chords the ladies move through on the ooh-ooh-oohs. It's obvious that they take the time to shape each note.
