ISLANDER - DEVASTATE THE MASSES (Official Documentary)

This is only a small portion of the story of ISLANDER. I suppose we would need an entire Netflix series to tell the whole story. ISLANDER‘s story is basically about a band that keeps getting pinned in the middle of the ring, and won’t stop kicking out because our fans keep cheering us on. I would be lying if I said we weren’t the underdog in the music industry right now. And everyone loves an underdog story. At least, I hope they still do. Our motto is pretty much summed up in that Rocky quote “It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!” - Mikey Carvajal

Islander is one of the most humble bands that I can proudly say were THE first band I had ever seen live in concert 9 years ago. And they weren’t even supposed to perform that day,but right off the bat you can tell they were some of the most genuine people, who had just happened to play music. From 9 years old to me now entering my first year of college, Islander has remained my all time favorite band. All love for Islander and will continue to support them in this new chapter.

I don't think it's ever been bad blood when that has happened. I think every time a band member left it was due to other opportunities. The dudes that were in the band in like 2014-15 besides JR such as chris Doot etc, I've only seen like once, so I'm not sure what happened to them. JR left and has two other bands. I believe Arin llejay left for family, and zeke left, i think also for family and started up a restaurant/a rap career. Andrew has a solo project. David started photography, and now it's the current lineup. (I'm speaking on what I've seen. I actually don't know all of the details.) Past members always talk kindly about them whenever brought up too..

I'm sure you've seen it, but if you haven't watch the music video for casket. That's one of my favorite music videos I've seen. Zeke, Arin, JR, and Mikey made a collective decision to part ways while mikey continues Islander due to the reasons I mentioned in my last comment. This is why he burying them. Such a cool idea.

We really hope you guys make it, your music is astounding and it doesn't make sense that you have to go through all of those setbacks. Maybe this is the way it was meant to be, you guys in control of everything. All the best from Chile! never surrender.

The story of how Counteract came to be 🤯 That's called manifestation, right there, because that song fits this band like a glove. It's one of my favorite songs by Islander 🏝 🦂

I promise I'm not trying to distract from the main point of this documentary (the band itself), I just think it's pretty hypocritical that Kevin Lyman was like, "Would you keep them on a hypothetical tour if they damaged equipment?" -- considering the fact that this dude kept a pedophile on Warped Tour for AWHILE after people had warned him that he was a danger to young people in attendance. Clear to see that all that really mattered to him was his bottom line, zero integrity/morals. Austin Jones (the pedo) is in jail where he should stay, hopefully permanently.

Everyone keeps talking up Mikey but as soon as he became completely in charge and all the other members left, shit went downhill fast
