Islam does not respect to the Slaves/Concubines and disabled . 16 : 75 - Allah sets forth a parable: a SLAVE who lacks all means, compared to a ˹FREE˺ Man to whom We granted a good provision, of which he donates ˹freely,˺ openly and secretly. Are they equal? Praise be to Allah. In fact, most of them do not know. 16 : 76 - And Allah sets forth a parable of TWO MEN One of them is DUMB, incapable of anything. He is a BURDEN on his Master. Wherever he is sent, he brings no good. Can such a person be equal to the one who commands justice and is on the Straight Path?

Some Historians believe the people being sold as slaves were taken captive for not converting to Islam. There are 'Old Spirituals' (American Hymns written + sung by the slaves) which makes mention or connection to such an idea. **FunFact: in the 1990s fake documents were randomly 'discovered' which alleged to be ID Documents for some slaves bound for Louisiana. The documents had Islamic+ Arabic names, and listed Arabic as the spoken tongue. The fake documents were used (by Muslim groups)for a short time to claim a Muslim ancestry to the early beginnings of America, however the documents were not proven to be real, and historicly there were no Islamic songs sung by the fields. All testimony confirmed hearing/singing Christian hymns.** Forward to 2022: Islam still supports taking captives + slaves. The Slave Trade continues human markets (Libya for example), run by Muslims. Saudi Arabia, for example, imports human slaves to this day. it's bizarre the same Muslim Scholars who point the finger at England (for involvement long gone) are the same who either ignore Islamic involvement- or outright lie (claiming they have no involvement).

I have to do the same thing for years because of my mother and hate it, but she dies last year, so this is my first ramadhan without having to pretend, but I really miss her now and wouldn't mind doing that pretending again, enjoy your moment while you can, it's not coming back

So for a black man to be a Muslim he has to accept the fact that part of his belief is to accept the fact that his ancestors were slaves of white slave owners. He also has to accept the fact that the prophet he believes in says you either serve Islam as a muslim of this religion or a slave of this religion. So Mohammed says its better to be a muslim in Islam than to be a slave in Islam? So either way you are forced to serve the religion of Islam. I call this total subjugation.

I have fallen to the lot of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas, and I have entered into an agreement to purchase of my freedom. I have come to you to seek assistance for the purchase of my freedom. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Are you inclined to that which is better? She asked: What is that, Messenger of Allah? He replied: I shall pay the price of your freedom on your behalf, and I shall marry you. She said: I shall do this. She (Aisha) said: The people then heard that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had married Juwayriyyah. They released the captives in their possession and set them free, and said: They are the relatives of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) by marriage. We did not see any woman greater than Juwayriyyah who brought blessings to her people. One hundred families of Banu al-Mustaliq were set free on account of her. Abu dawud said: This evidence shows that a Muslim ruler may marry a slave woman himself

This speaks of someone who distrusts himself to meet the requirements of what he does. He wants to stay on top of his employment with a sense of loyalty and deference to his master (1 Ti 6:1-2). PRINCIPLE: A major place for our testimony is our employment. APPLICATION: Evangelicals today put great hope in political solutions but the issue is not a political system. The problem is the heart of man. He needs a new heart. He must be regenerated to be different. No political, social, or economic solution can resolve a spiritual problem. A Christian should set high standards for his employment. Regardless of what kind of boss he may have, he represents Jesus Christ in everything he does. He should be more productive than non-Christians around him. Insubordination is not biblical.

@K P First, I'd like to clarify a fact about slavery we read about in the Bible. In the Greco-Roman civilization, from which the Author Paul is writing, it was an accepted way of life that slaves would work for a master to pay off a debt or the slave could have been born into the master's family. Sometimes entire families would work and live under one master. When the Epistles of the Bible were written, 1 out of every 3rd person was a slave. The slaves were actually in a better position than many “Free" men because the slave had a place to live, food to eat and a job. The standard was, a slave would work for 7 years and then he could be set free but the slave often chose to stay. If you read more on the subject you'll see that it was just a way of life. People today are slaves to their debtholders, are they not? It's the same concept. The slavery we read about in the Bible is not the same slavery that was brought to the Americas. That was kidnapping and human trafficking on a scale never before seen. And the criminals responsible used the Bible to justify their crimes. Now, with all that being said, let's get to the actual verse; Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Here, Paul is instructing Christians to obey their earthly masters because their true Master was/is Christ Jesus, Who is in heaven. Many Christians call themselves bondservants to Christ and would gladly call Him Master, as do I. Paul was always writing the very first churches in existence and he would instruct them according to the Holy Spirit, to do what was righteous and just because they are Christians regardless of their earthly circumstances.

I like how his justification is "Pft, I could kill them, but instead I do them a great service of enslaving them, giving them food and clothes! I'm a saint!!" lol

The real contradiction is that most people would consider the condition of slavery to be the immoral part not how you got there. A slave bought and a slave captured in War are subject to the same inhuman condition

Slaves and captives and prisoners of War are to have their rights and can be freed or emancipated and can be exchanged or killed in return or it is to pay the ransom and the Jizyah as well. Non combatants treatment is also shown in Islam and conditions determine how treatment of combatants would be through enslavement or freeing and killing

@K P These examples from Paul's time writing to gentile empires are far from examples of taking slaves. A bondservant was closely equivalent to an employee and a boss in the cultural context of the time. Indentured servants still had rights and lawful protection in those places. We use corporate terminology in this day that they didn't use. The man the Qur'an says is the ultimate standard of conduct, the final prophet, did much more with slaves taken against their will. Buying, trading, sleeping with, divvying slaves as spoils, and capturing slaves are just some examples.

@K P Paul councils people who are already bondservants, specific people in a specific culture. You are taking it out of context. Islam cannot change or abolish slavery unless it abandon's the authenticity of the Qur'an. Unless your final prophet was some other man, and someone else was claimed to be the ultimate standard of conduct. Muslims from all walks of life try to follow his example it says on a muslim site. Quran 68:4, and 33:21.

@K P The verses don’t support slavery, just good behavior with bondservants that already existed in the Roman empire. They don’t say anything about acquiring slaves or trading slaves or the value of slaves as do the Sahi hadith about Muhammad. There is little comparison.

@K P They only confirmed it existed not that it was a desired practice. Other verses in the apostles teachings logically are against forced slavery. Slavery is against the commandment “thou shalt not steal” you don’t steal someone’s life or labor. It is also contrary to loving others as Jesus loves us while also being contrary to the teachings of Jesus in The Sermon on the Mount.

@K P The prophet Elijah is copied into the Quran and the meaning of that name is "Yahweh is my God" not Allah. All true prophets prophesy in the name of Yahweh. The 7th century false prophet you follow has no witnesses but himself and copied stories from every other religion he heard of at that time. He wasn't in the covenant of Abraham, the pagans he descends from broke from it, he could not have been a true prophet and has only one witness, himself. You have a religion of power not love, love is better. I can read the translations by muslim scholars, they are just as much muslim and learned as you are, the Arabic smoke screen doesn’t work when all the translations are available to everyone of all your sources. Arabic is developed as a pagan language, for instance “Al” means god and “Lah” is the lunar deity of the Sabians who recited your creed before muslims did. You have a religion of power not love, love is better. God is love, Christ is Love, God is waiting for you to return to Him.

@K P And? You may as well go for broke and bring up the Philemon epistle. The early Christians were people of a time where slavery was part of all human existence, could not think of a world without it, were not in a position to demand anything, thus they resorted to working within the existing structure they could not overthrow. But my point remains: Jesus never owned/bought/sold/raped slaves, unlike your cult leader. Nice try trying to change subject though...

Turn the tables, this is the strategy of islamists to divert the topic and save islam from any sort of criticism. Well, it's islam which claims that every other religion and every other scripture has been corrupted so now one should follow the one only true religion which is Islam. So, it's they who are making the claim so obviously it's they who would be the first one to go through the scrutiny. If by finding the same thing from the religious scriptures of others they think they can defend islam then they are wrong bcoz by doing so they'll only end up proving that islam brought nothing new.
