I reverted to Islam while in Custody in Israel on April 14, 2024 with My Ummah brother Hamza Farooq from the UK. I came to this channel to learn how to pray on My own.

@@evanskimathi5265Arabic is most proffered but at the beginning of transition allah sees the effort you are giving to him. Arabic is the ultimate goal but as someone who started out on the wrong path and grew up American I have had my fair share of trouble translating. Stick with it and over time just keep getting better and better and more understanding until u reach the point of Arabic. All love and praise to most beneficial, most merciful O allah🙏❤️

6:07 jut a little correction: the word Allah in Arabic (here in that context is lighter, raquiqah) illahi, (as the Transliteration, correct illahi ) not Allahi as she pronounced it. just a note, the last step when you turns your neck and say "Allah peace be upon you" the "you" in Arabic is the plural meaning you all.. because for an English speaker "you" could mean singular or plural, it is plural in Arabic.

You can use this as a “Fajr” reference for now. The other prayers are almost replicating this. I would suggest looking up pdfs that teach, they are very helpful and the translation is even easier to understand.

This translation is applicable to all 5 prayers just the no of rakats is different. You can look up the translations for other surahs seperately

But as for Elephant some school say it is halal some say it is haram Shafiiyah scholars forbid eating elephant meat, Imam Asy-Sya’bi, Ibn Syihab, and Imam Malik allow elephant (meat) to be consumed. Stated by Imam Nawawi in Al-Majmu’: “Elephants are included as haram of being consumed (Shafiiyah scholars), also according to Abu Hanifah, Kufah scholars, and Imam Al-Hasan. Imam Asy-Sya’bi, Ibn Syihab, and Imam Malik, however allowed it. Stated in “Al-Majmu ‘Syarh al-Muhadzdzab”, Juz 10 p. 27, written by two great scholars, namely: Al-Imam Muhyiddin Abu Zakaria Yahya bin Syarof asy-Syafii an-Nawawi and al-Imam Taqiyuddin al-Subuki, published by Darul Hadith, Cairo, Egypt. According to the Maliki; The prohibited animals to consume are only mentioned in the Al-Quran (among them in Surah al-An’am, verse 145, an-Nahl verse 115, etc.). Namely: “the dead, blood and the flesh of swine”. As for the elephants are not mentioned in these verses, it is not haram to eat them. As for the fanged beast are prohibitively dislike (Makruh) to eat it since it is prohibited by the hadith. Therefore, the Maliki stated that the Prophet’s prohibition in the hadith is a prohibition which is makruh, not haram (al-Mausu’ah al-Fiqhiyyah al-Kuwaitiyyah).

salamun alaykum, for salat prayers it’s obligatory to pray in Arabic. As is narrated in as-Saheehayn [al-Bukhaari and Muslim] from ‘Ubaadah ibn as-Saamit that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “There is no prayer for the one who does not recite the Opening of the Book (al-Faatihah). With regard to reciting more than al-Faatihah, it is not obligatory. So this should make it easier for you, since you only need to memorise this for salat prayers. The majority of scholars are of the view that it is obligatory to recite Qur’an in Arabic in prayer, and that recitation is not valid except in Arabic, as when the Quran is translated into other languages it counts as tafseer (explanation of the Quran rather than recitation). Having said that after compulsory prayer I personally recommended you read the translation of the prayer in your native language as to understand its meaning. As for dua ( supplication) you can do this in any language. Hope this helps
