ABOUT THE SPEAKER -
A medical doctor by professional training, Dr Zakir Naik is renowned as a dynamic international orator on Islam and Comparative Religion. Dr Zakir Naik is the president of Islamic Research Foundation, Mumbai. Dr Zakir clarifies Islamic viewpoints and clears misconceptions about Islam, using the Qur'an, authentic Hadith and other religious Scriptures as a basis, in conjunction with reason, logic and scientific facts. He is 46 years old.
He is popular for his critical analysis and convincing answers to challenging questions posed by audiences after his public talks. In the last 15 years (by the year 2011) Dr Zakir Naik has delivered more than 1500 public talks in the U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Italy, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, U.A.E., Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Botswana, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Guyana (South America), Trinidad, Mauritius and many other countries, in addition to numerous public talks in India.
He has successfully participated in several symposia and dialogues with prominent personalities of other faiths. His public dialogue with Dr. William Campbell (of USA) on the topic "The Qur'an and the Bible in the light of Science" held in Chicago, U.S.A., in April, 2000 was a resounding success.
His Interfaith Dialogue with prominent Hindu Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on the topic "The Concept of God in Hinduism and Islam in the light of Sacred Scriptures" held at Palace Grounds, Bangalore, on 21st Jan. 2006, was highly appreciated by people of both the faiths.
Dr. Zakir Naik was featured in the Indian Express list of the "100 Most Powerful Indians" in 2009" and again in 2010, amongst the billion plus population of India. In the special list in 2009 of the "Top 10 Spiritual Gurus of India" Dr Zakir Naik was ranked No. 3, after Baba Ramdev and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, being the only Muslim in the list ... and topping them too in the 2010 list.
Dr. Zakir Naik has been placed in the top 62 in the list of "The 500 Most Influential Muslims in the World" published by the George Washington University, USA.
Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, the world famous orator on Islam and Comparative Religion, who had called Dr Zakir "Deedat Plus" in 1994, presented a plaque in May 2000 with the engraving "Awarded to Dr. Zakir Abdul-Karim Naik for his achievement in the field of Da'wah and the study of Comparative Religion. Dr Zakir Naik appears regularly on many international TV channels in more than 200 countries of the world. He is regularly invited for TV and Radio interviews. More than a hundred of his talks, dialogues, debates and symposia are available on DVDs and VCDs. He has authored many books on Islam and Comparative Religion.

the theologian asked doctor zakir that almost everything he said can be said about the other 2 Abraham faiths(scientific facts etc) witch is obviously not true. why didnt dr zakir refute him on that point..

Is Islam a Religion of Peace ? We could only know that from the life of Prophet and Quran and not so called MUSLIMS who are misguided Quran 22:40 And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned'' If there was a War in this World without injustice and attrocities it was the war (for self defence ) by muslim who were PROHIBITED to attack women and children or the aged who did not take arms and prohibited were the Monasteries, Synagogues, Churches and the pious people in them and prohibited were the cutting of trees ,destruction of houses and public place like schools, libraries etc and the Prisoners of war were fed 'twice' a day though the Muslims during war ate once or did not have enough to eat When Prophet took over Mecca overwhelmingly without the spill of blood even the top 10 criminals on the Execution list and others who had even killed uncle and loved ones of Prophet & Muslims were given AMNESTY though these were the same people who tortured the Muslims for 10 years and confiscated their rightful wealth when they fled for Medina not forgetting the 3 years of BOYCOTT of Muslims from even selling the BASIC food and Medicines when the MOST beloved Prophet's wife Khadija died and many others and when they have to eat leaves of trees for survival , WHERE WAS THE WORLD TO SPEAK FOR MUSLIMS THEN?And also see Mufti Menk ' Life of last messenger and see incident of Taif and the war with them and later how kind was our Prophet ? Here's the Taif incident in short. U should read all incidents of Taif from STONING of Prophet - not cursing them even angel of mountain wants to crush them- after few years battle of TAIF(Thakif tribe)- Muslim Army being cheated attacking from hiding behind mountains( face to face was usual norm)- Taif army retreated to their forts and besieged by Muslim army-. goods of war already distributed except captives.Taif soldiers surrender and beg prophet to return their families - Prophet forgives and return their families- their leaders surrender after 80 days but their families already been distributed as slaves- they beg too- prophet asks them to be returned-- owners or their masters(new Meccan converts) are unwilling to return them- PROPHET PAYS HIS OWN MONEY AND RETURNS THEIR WIVES AND KIDS TO THEIR LEADERS (to those people who WORSTLY ILL treated their GUEST '' Muhammad'' only bcos he said "" WORSHIP ONE GOD DO NOT ASSOCIATE PARTNERS WITH HIM''). similar are 100'S OF INCIDENTS were Prophet lived to show his Heart of forgivingness and kindness NO WONDER Quran says he is the best of examples. IF YOU ARE TELLING MUHAMMAD WAS NOT MENTIONED IN BOTH TESTAMENTS HOW DID HERACLIUS , THE CHRISTIAN ROMAN EMPEROR BELEIVED IN PROPHET MUHAMMAD. HOW DID KING NEGUS ,THE CHRISTIAN KING OF ABBYSINIA ACCEPTED ISLAM. HOW DID THE WEALTHIEST MAN ZAYD IBN SANAH, A JEWISH RABBI ACCEPTED ISLAM AND DONATED HALF OF HIS WEALTH TO ISLAM AND DIED FOR ISLAM. THEY NEED NOT BE AFRAID OF ANYHTING WHEN MUSLIM ARMY HAD JUST 313 PEOPLE INCLUDING OLD AGED AND CHILDREN WITH ALMOST NO ARMS TO FIGHT(BATTLE OF BADR) WHY DID 3 JEWISH TRIBES CAME TO MEDINA FROM ROME AND JERUSALEM (FOR SHOPPING IN THE DESERT ?) WHO IS IN A BETTER POSTION TO DECIDE MUHAMMAD WAS RIGHT OR WRONG ? IS IT YOU OR THOSE WHO WERE IN MUHAMMAD'S TIMES,WHO ACCEPTED ISLAM
