Why cant they make the presentation availble to download? Considering they are uncapable of filming it or mixing it with the video.

Good background insight but very thoughtlessly produced video in that all we get to see are the speakers and not there visual aids.

Please do not get me wrong, caus ei really enjoyed both opinions. However, for a person whom is researching this subject, the first thing you should learn is how to pronounce these word as they are in the original language. There is no Kailif ? it is not a K and it should be "Khalifah" as it is in Arabic and (Khalifeh in Persian) for 1400 years. Kh is pronounced so deeply harsh in Arabic which is not romantic but neither is R in French language in my humble opinion. Do some research on the subject you discuss is a nice piece of advise to anyone. I know cause I work in IT and always look to learn.....

Regarding the comment about Sunni Saudi and Shia Iran finding" common ground" Let me repeat a conversation I recently had (2016) with a current serving member of the Officer Armed Forces of a GCC Country ( will not name Country just in case I'm compromised!) He suggested that there was 'collusion' between Israel and Shia Iran' - when I said this HAs to be impossible - his response was so deeply entrenched that the Iranians and the Israelis were working side by side - that I realized then that the hatred between Sunni Saudis and the Gulf States and Shia Iran was so Deep that Sunnis hated/Distrusted Shias MORE than they hated the Israelis Jews. There is going to be NO working together between Assad Shias and Saudi Sunnis. That is not happening.

elodie sheraton You make interesting points, but you refer to the Saudi's as Sunni's, this doesn't paint an accurate picture of them. They are an offshoot of one of the four Sunni schools of thought (madhab's). They are Wahhabi's, yet they refer to themselves as Salafi's. The great expansion in mosque and madrassa construction in the West (and Pakistan) has been paid for by Saudi funds. It really isn't Sunni Vs Shia, but rather Wahhabi's Vs Shia. However, Sunni's are being "corrupted" into becoming people that view things with a Wahhabi's eye.

Islamic Socialism ... a LOT of garbage gets posted on this site but you make points that are worth answering. I already stated that they call themselves Salafi's, I grew up with some very good Salafi's, they were 100% good people! However, quite a few were hardcore wannabe nut cases, precursors of ISIL/Da'esh that would come into being some 30 years later... it's for those bunch of ne'er-do-wells that I reserve my deliberately derogatory label, it is well deserved. As for the Theocratic Iranian states' meddling in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon - it is as welcome and helpful as the humane and altruistic steering of those fountains of wisdom collectively known as (the despots of) Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, and Jordan. As well as the UK, France, Turkey, USA and Israel. The negative feelings towards the Shia is nothing new, but I do agree with you, their meddling, as well as the Saudi's, will one day return with interest! The innocent people don't deserve it, they've more than anyone deserves, but the power holders? I think their days in power are numbered... the clock is ticking.

Ali Mirza - many thanks for your detailed and correct response . Of course the Saudi influence on Sunni Islam has been growing for many years - ever since Saudi Arabia became a wealthy Country (late 70's - 80's) in fact - when the opportunity was there and the financial means to spread the word of their particular Wahhabist-Salafist strain of Islam.
