My thoughts exactly

The best part about this movie was that the guy just wanted to keep singing no matter what. It was not just about the money but his absolute passion to keep doing what he loves doing until his last breath. On top of that, AR Rahman and Mohit Chauhan along with Imtiaz Ali directing it. I still vividly recall the first time I heard his song “Chikku Bukku Raile” from the Gentleman album during my teenage years. The song's quality and its unorthodox beat style completely transformed my understanding of Indian music. It was different; it was ahead of its time. However, the real epiphany hadn't occurred yet. In 1993, the musical composition of Roja plunged me into a psychedelic experience, a realm of creativity, newness, and transcendence that was utterly out of this world. This obsession led me to embrace the new age music genre and pay homage to avant-garde artists like Enigma, Deep Forest, Enya, Yanni, Vangelis, and Kitaro, all thanks to A.R. Rahman. He introduced me to a new horizon of creativity and originality of which I had been previously unaware. As time progressed, A.R. Rahman seemed to gradually lose the unique charm and signature style that defined his earlier work. By 2014, he seemed overshadowed in the chaotic landscape of world music, with his compositions favoring a more local flavor over the global appeal and fusion of Eastern and Western elements that once set him apart. A.R. Rahman's music once carried a distinctive signature recognizable to his fans; a fusion of electronic and acoustic instruments, a blend of diverse genres, and a marriage of Eastern and Western musical traditions, including Indian classical themes with modern pop culture. I vividly remember his innovative use of the didgeridoo in Hindustani music, the perfect sound spillover or muffling effect in Taal, and his incorporation of African and Latin American reggae styles in “Hosanna.” Another hallmark of his signature style was his refusal to repeat the same percussion pattern throughout a song, introducing new arrangements with each musical phrase or vocal section. While I am neither a musician nor a singer, all I know is that I deeply enjoyed his unconventional music and style. I hope he will reconsider and revive the quintessential '90s flair, reinvigorating his current musical approach. He should strive to maintain his universal appeal rather than focusing solely on local Indian music, given that his compositions once resonated on an international scale.
