Ishmael was very prominent in Muslim religion and is regarded as the father of the Arabs. But the sons of Abraham with Keturah, as stated in Genesis that Abraham gave them livestock and sent them to the south. So Arabs can not all be descendants of Ishmael, they also are descendants of the children of Keturah. Similarly Moses father in law Jethro was a Midian and may be descended from the sons of Keturah.

All information about Ishmael comes from the bible alone. No where else, or from any other source is there any information about him. He may have 12 sons but all his sons were dispersed and scattered all over and the Bible stopped mentioning Ishmael after the book of Jeremiah. All traces of his lineage and his descendants were gone by then. Arabs came from many different places and they were tribal people. In the days of Abraham, there were desert people in the east of the Promised lands, the babylonians from Iran and Iraq. Today Jordanians and Syrians came from the Moabites and Ammonites, children of Lot. So not all Arabs came from Ishmael.

Ismael is not the father of Arab nation but they came from part of his ancestor and the ancestor of Keturash son. What their Qur'an said is only a fiction and not facts.👍

The arabs existed before Abraham, so how could he be their father...

Arabs are an amalgamation of several tribes together. It can be understood from the several biblical scholars and archeological findings. Ishmael alone cannot be counted as the chief of Arabs.

Pure blood Arab's are from Qahtan and Adnan Ishmael and Esau were both Hebrews who married into Arab tribes already existing their are four types of Arab's I gave you all four names now with the advent of Islam a lot of mixing occurs also the mongol invasions and the Turks 600 year rile and the Persians influence under the Abbasids but the Turk's made the most headway and the enlsavimg and raids of Europe bye the Turks doing the Ottoman's rule really put a lot of cream in the coffee but originally Arab's were and still are very dark complexioned and they pride themselves on that the Aryanized Arab's are og mongoloid and Turkic central Asian stock!

After all these prophecies .. Did the Lord grant Isaac or Sarah anything? I swear to you, there is a distortion. The Lord does not speak to anyone or count him or name a person unless he is a prophet. We notice that the Arabs, the sons of Ishmael, have the same places, the same language, and they maintain their identity and culture. 😂 It is known to everyone that the first son is the one who has power after his father... There is a distortion or incompleteness of the story, and there are many question marks as to whether God preferred Isaac over Ishmael?????
