I come from a humanities background and studied history in undergrad. I scored well in school and under grad. Post which worked with 2 big Mnc's for about 3 years. Prepping for my GMAT now. My question to you is, with such a profile do I have a chance to be considered? What is the GMAT score I shall have in mind for Isb? Doi have a chance to make it with a average score, since math's not been my forte I'm skeptical about my score. However working hard to achieve a good one.

Hi KK, Do not worry much about your profile at this stage because you got to do what you got to do. You can not undo your past. And after reading what you have written, it seems like your profile is very interesting and diverse from a B-School's perspective. So, do not need to worry much about it. Safe bet for ISB is 720+ to get interviews. If that is a stretch for you then do not worry, still go ahead and apply because you never know. Don’t use my score as a benchmark. There are a lot of other factors that make or break a case. But just to answer your question, it is 730 (Q/V - 49/40)

Hi Shikhar, Thank you for this personalized insightful video. The following question has been bothering me a lot. Since, PGP from ISB is not accredited by AICTE, It is not considered as Post Graduation. So, Can students from ISB with a PGP certificate, do a PHD from IIMs or IITs? Thank you

Thanks Mitesh. I was also concerned with the accreditation status of ISB. And here is what I found - 1) Well recognized degree among Start-Up recruiters and MNCs. So no problem in getting job or in promotion or to change geography. 2) Might not be useful if planning to take permanent residence of other country or trying to change geography on your own. 3) Might not be a useful degree to do Phd in India from Govt funded colleges, only because of the strict rules by which they abide. Best is to drop a mail to the Phd dept of the college to confirm. 4) Many ISB graduates pursue Phd and other academic related activities in foreign universities.
