    i like this , a lot . immediately i can see that I'm using the hands collectively to "get things going " rather than it being that shoulder initiating the movement .

    Like the videos. This seems to be different than the hangar video for the midway point for the club. Would doing either get you to the correct position at the top of the backswing?

    The information is excellent and I credit you with your explanation. One thing I would like to say you're far enough away from the camera to see things in total but you're not close enough to the camera to see how the hands or the wrist break I would think that when you do something like that if you're only if you don't have the camera person then just walk up in front of the camera and Kaka tryst move your wrist use your wrist it's just a suggestion thank you

    Love watching your video tips Natalie - very informative, simple explanations and easy to understand. One thing I have noticed though is that your clubface at the top of the backswing appears to be quite flat ie pointing to the sky. I tend to get into the same position and often feel that my clubface should be pointed more down as other KZread presenters all seem to have what appears to be an open clubface at the top.

    David Lahiff thanks for the comment. I'm not that tall so my swing plane is flatter than other pros which means I have to work harder to square the face through impact than someone with a more upright plane. Therefore being slightly closed is beneficial for me to square the club face. That being said though, more tour players nowadays seem to be displaying a closed a face at the top of the swing - Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson as examples. 90% of the tour favour a slightly open face though and then close it more during the down swing. Good observation

    Grégoire Zwissig you want the stick to stay close to your body yes and get it pointing down towards the target line, without it going outside the target line

    looks like your left wrist is cupped at the top of the back swing, though you said in another video that we should flatten the left wrist. Which is correct?

  • @SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING

    @SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING

    5 жыл бұрын

    urmyself depends on the shot you want to hit or stop hitting! Flat wrist gives a neutral face at the top, bowed gives closed face, cupped gives open face. If you want to hit a draw a slightly closed face to path is required so bowed. Hitting straighter shots you’d want a more neutral face to path and hitting a fade you’d want a slightly open face to path

    Is this the same with driver and fairway woods?

  • @SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING

    @SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING

    Hi Mark sorry for delayed response, didn’t see your question. Effectively yes, but your set up will be different with longer clubs to shorter clubs. This will technically make you swing slightly differently but you want to work on feeling a similar action. You shouldn’t feel you have one swing for your irons and a different swing for your woods. Set up will make the difference for you.

    am now confused......just finished watching your new video showing the correct arm motion with the alignment rod set across the arms......pretty much the opposite of the movements in this video......I like this motion better but why the big difference? The other video has the clubface much more closed and hardly no forearm rotation.

  • @SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING

    @SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING

    There isn't a big difference this video focuses more on wrist set the other on arm rotation but you still want to keep the face square to plane during the takeaway with both. Whether you need to focus on this or on arm rotation depends on what you individually do in your golf swing.

    @@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING Yes i have the same question as well. As you turn do you rotate your arms, or keep your wrists stable until you get waist height, then hinge your wrists? Or is it a case of personal preference what works for you?

  • @SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING

    @SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING

    Rotate your body to start your swing keeping club face towards target line. You will begin to hinge your wrist before waist high
