tbf it think it's poor design but as someone who plays Marvel 3 i get it, like it would be cool to remove stuff like TAC Infinites as they're messed up but they're part of the soul. However a patch like this is not designed to be a replacement for the OG patch anyways so i don't think it's a problem

@@illford Yeah, I understand this is aiming at a specific group inside the community. The jank like random low & overheads, interactions with stand moves that allow for unblockables or infintes, etc. are what pulled me into the game when I found out about it, so removing them is not my cup of tea. But it's definitely someone else's, possibly for more competitively minded folks out there.

i agree, part of the reason i even stuck with hftf was how much of a mess it was, it just felt so weird and unique, like if i could think of something theres probably a way to do it. nerfing top tiers and buffing low tiers removes an aspect of the game that is interesting, it feels rewarding to win despite the odds in hftf. the balance is fucked though, and for some people im sure its a turn off knowing that half the characters lose hard to the top 3. cool that someone would try to "fix" it though, despite the community being used to it.

finally, after 25 years, hftf has a balance patch, I can rest in peace

great vid, would suggest putting text on different background for ease of reading.

The ideal hftf hack would also have new arcade modes, at least for characters who don't have one. Like YoJo getting one where he fights all the Egypt 9 Glory God users and later Dio, or Khan's story mode being 'Jojo if it was a Saturday Morning Cartoon'.
