William Contreras had an incredible first year in the Brewers organization in 2023. But despite catching even more in 2024, his framing numbers have regressed to the naked eye.
Let's take a look at a few specific zones of the strike zone where William has thrived and where he could see improvement for the last 70 games of the season.
Another thing to remember, despite what the internet wants you to think, umpires are better at calling balls and strikes than they have ever been!

loving the videos on savant/statcast, just wanted to give a little note on the 1/10,000 statcast search. You seem very well versed in the entire savant site, but at that search, I would have changed the total pitch paramters to get a better/more accurate Percentage for the search.
He's regressed quite a bit in that below the zone area as well. It's still above league average, but comfortably down from last year.
