For me, Ukraine is like a paradise. I have been going there, since 2010, mainly for health improvement. That's because I was hospitalized then, for one month, while on vacation. I made a friend in the hospital, who was a Dr. Then, a friend of hers', who is a well known, holistic health expert. Every summer, we would go to Crimea, for 2 weeks, and then 6 weeks, in Mariupol. After Russia invaded, we went to Truskavets, for 2 weeks. We did that for 6 years. Truscavets, has the worlds', healthiest water to drink. It is a concentrated, mineral based water, of various types. Also, these people would take me to see various types of Drs., and sanatoriums, with health related facilities. They taught me the procedures, for seeing Drs., and methods of gaining health. The Ukrainian system, is exactly how you described it. Even the prices, are very close, as to what to expect. I have saved over, $10,000, just on just dental work. Also, you didtn't mention it, but the abundance of fresh produce, herbs, spices, and food products, honey and various bee products, make living there, and gaining health, very easy to do. The pharmacies, are also very good, and plentiful. People do everything possible be able to overcome health problems. I've never heard of a better place to go, for becoming healthy, ironically, at this time with the war. The society, can recover, and one day again, become the healthiest place in the world, to live.

I just visited Ukraine last week during the war. I went to Vinnytsia, Odessa and Lviv. There were many air raid sirens but i was never afraid. I don't know why you have to make comparisons with the USA or UK. Obviously Olga went to the UK because it is not at war, it is better to be at a place that is not at war and where battles aren't being fought. Ukraine is a land of opportunity, there is a lot of rebuilding to be done. Ukraine will probably need something like a Marshal Plan similar to after World War II. Where there is risk there is reward.

@@SuperheroArmorychannel why do you think around 3 million Ukrainians fled the country, were they all mistaken? Make no mistake, living in a warzone is not preferable to living in the United States. The United States is sending billions of dollars in military equipment and aid to Ukraine, so this ranking of one country versus another when one of those countries is sending aid to that other is not very nice or polite. I will say Ukraine is a better place to live than Russia. So do you live in Ukraine if you think it's is a better place to live than somewhere there isn't a war going on such as in the United States? As an American with similar plans I can’t recommend this as it’s the most targeted city from rocket attacks and also the likelihood of it being under siege seems at least somewhat likely due to its close border with Belarus. Of course you can do as you wish I’m just not sure why the appeal of kyiv as compared to a city like lviv or Rivne. Unless you plan on suiting up and fighting in the war then kyiv isn’t a bad place to start

Where I live in the suburbs in the USA, it seems to be more like Ukraine. There are so many pharmacies within a 10 minute drive from my house. And some are open 24 hours every day of the week, and others are open late until 10 pm or 11 pm. The ones with more limited hours seem to be the smaller ones located in medical office buildings and other ones which are independently owned.

I just spent 3 weeks there. The secret is to visit many cities because each one is totally different and you need to find one that feels right to you. Don’t let the war stop you, just stay away from the front lines and you should be fine. Also i highly suggest only staying in the city centers because their power is always prioritized and i only experienced one very brief power outage the entire time. On the outskirts of the city center power outages are very common.

The UK rental rules are meant to protect the renter from unscrupulous landlords and unfair evictions. But it seems to protect the landlords more by allowing them to demand you have a job, a sufficient income and good credit. If you don't have some of these things then they can refuse you accommodation in the first place. this can leave you actually to have to go to unscrupulous landlords and rip off rental agencies. The issue is that past laws allowed renters to occupy a property and then not pay the rent while the landlord could not evict them. So now they demand proof you can pay and a large deposit - which you are unlikely to get back when you leave.

The UK is kind of unique in Europe for it's quaint and eccentric rules and regulations. The shop opening times, early closing of pubs and restaurants, weird Sunday trading laws, and of course just how expensive ordinary things are. Sadly our health service, once the envy of the world is at the point of collapse, in some parts of the country it is so bad that instead of healing people, it is killing people. Food is expensive with millions having to rely on food banks (donated food charities) to exist. This is in part due to the War in Ukraine but also to problems caused by Brexit (when the UK left the EU). Avian flu has hit egg supply and prices. I note that Croatia is complaining that it's food prices have risen since it just joined the EU. I think if they left now the prices would be even higher. The UK has one of the highest prices for fuel for cars and very high for gas heating and electricity. While the UK government likes to blame Putin for everything, the reality is that it is their mismanagement of energy policy that is to blame. The Government tax on petrol makes up the largest part of the price, currently about £1.50 per litre. I could go on with about 100 things that the UK does badly... Ukraine, despite its peculiarities and problems, looks like paradise to me... and the women are beautiful too !

I think there will be a lot of eligible women in Ukraine, with children War takes a disproportionate toll on men, they do the fighting after all. Ukraine will need to rebuild. I know some young men here in the USA, I work with them. I married a Polish girl in 1990 after all. Ukraine will need to rebuild afterward, and will need to replace those men. I had trouble finding a date in the USA back in the 1980s and Poland was a communist country back then, part of the Warsaw Pact. Women date up, there is lots of competition between men in the USA. I think Ukraine will have a surplus of women for a while so dating prospects for men will look up, and there are some beautiful Ukrainian women, one of whom works for my company. I am married of course, so this is advice for other people. I've been married to my Polish wife since 1990 of course.

Not without peace. As Ukraine has been fighting for 9 years is in large part why Ukraine is 2nd poorest nation in Eastern Europe. It would have been better to come to an agreement over the Donbass than to force everyone into poverty over it. The fight for the Donbass, in my opinion, is not worth the price paid in blood. Many who have relocated will never return. Their children will never know Ukraine as it once was. They will claim to be British or Norwegian or Dutch as the nations in which they were raised. There is no end to the fighting in sight.

I believe that while a concession may be hard to take that these issues would be better dealt with over time. Generational. Look at Xi Jinping. His family was kicked out of the CCP. His sister committed suicide over it. This was due to corruption. So he fought to obtain power and has had corrupt chinese officials executed for their crimes against the chinese people. One day that may happen in Russia as well. But what we see is them glorifying rape and murder of unarmed civilians instead of simply detaining them until the fighting was over. They have allowed this all to progress too far. They cannot turn back now. Many, many more will die due to ignorantly leadership decisions on both sides. One ideocracy (2006 movie) fighting another.

Honestly most Slavics in general don’t support trans or lgbt. Any former Soviet states generally aren’t partial to it. In bigger cities there are some but it’s fairly minimal. In general the consensus from Ukrainians when Zelenskyy passed gay marriage laws around august or September last year was met with bad reception from what I heard from locals when there. Often times countries getting financial aid from the US must change their official stance on this to match the US standards but this doesn’t always align with people’s views. If I was gay or trans I wouldn’t feel comfortable in Ukraine. I think I saw 2 gay couples in 3 weeks time in the bigger cities (regional centers) in Ukraine so they’re very few and far between. In bigger cities in Poland I saw many more lgbt present there so if Poland was too un accepting for you I don’t think Ukraine would be better.
