The strange thing about this word scramble is. The only people who use this strategy are typically in trouble and are grasping at straws to save their neck or their job. More successful people understand what is put forward and do not get paid to try to sway what has been past practice.

I think this issue should have been explored before it got to this point. It would have been easier for everyone if these issues had been explored in 1898 after the coup d'etat in Wilmington, North Carolina. It might have forced people to rethink racial issues of the time and held some of the people who were responsible for it accountable. Instead the people in office looked away and ignored it, even after the victims pleaded for help and one of them met with the president. What happened in Wilmington in 1898 was wrong and they never addressed it. Now it's coming back to haunt us all.

Since the Rethuglican lawyers has some strange ideas they can be assigned to ask the dead ones. The Constitution INTENTIONALLY delegates that to the States and EXPECTS inconsistency-it is a feature and NOT A BUG.

Moreover, the Supreme Court recently overturned Roe v Wade, ruling that each State shall have independent jurisdiction on this literally life or death matter. Apparently such variance between States is constitutionally mandated. It's pretty hard to turn around and find grounds now to argue that it somehow isn't with respect to an already established State electoral mandate.

While I am glad for this post, I believe that the SCOTUS should disqualify 45 based on the insurrectionist provisions of the US Constitution. The Colorado Court found that 45 incited the insurrection. The exact words in presidential oath don't matter. If you are in office because of the Constitution, you can't be permitted to hold office if you seek to set it aside by an insurrection or unconstitutional means. Otherwise there would be an absurd result.
