There is a global inflation going on everywhere in the world while US inflation is stagnating. So it seems like Biden's policies, if anything are easing inflation. But if you don't keep track of world news, you would think Biden is responsible for inflation, which is what the right wing media is banking on. They don't want you opening your window to see outside - there is a global inflation and the US is among the best performing of the developed economies. If sure if it makes you feel safe to assume Biden is responsible for inflation in the US while the entire world is doing much worse due to global supply chain disruption, I won't tell you to watch global news anymore.

President's don't control what corporations decide to charge us. The initial inflation reduction act was going to stop corporations from price gouging us but because every single republican voted against it - we are still being price gouged. Nice try attempting to blame that one on democrats. Republicans did that. Just like they vote against rent caps and minimum wage increases. Trump's tax cuts helped the wealthy much more than it helped the non-wealthy. Also, the stimulus checks he helped get out was helpful in the very short-term, but ultimately that was all added to our national debt that we pay interest on. He really didn't do anything to help us in the long run. 👎

The 1st year of any presidency coasts on the policies of the previous president. Remember, the new guy starts on jan 20 the year after he is elected. So election was November 2016, Trump does not become POTUS until 1/20/2017, he enacts his first laws but any effects will not be seen until 2018. Do the same with Biden, who becomes POTUS on 1/20/2021. The years you start seeing the effect will be 2022,23,24 and 25. So to get Trump's record you compare 2018-2021 to Biden's 2022-2025.

And who raises prices to cover the cost of these tariffs??? The seller. Who ends up getting screwed the most by these tariffs? The customer. This is the same logic as credit card surcharges that have been implemented by a lot of restaurants. The business owner passes the cost of doing business off to customers. The credit card processing companies raise the processing rates and the business owners don’t care because they aren’t paying the difference. CUSTOMERS GET F’D WHILE BIG BUSINESS REAPS THE REWARD. Source: I work in the payment processing industry, we are literally robbing consumers blind. This is exactly trumps plan. And the end CUSTOMERS get screwed not other countries.

Tariffs are paid for by the companies that imports those goods, i.e, Walmart, Home Depot, Kia Motors, etc. Then, most businesses will pass those additional costs down to the consumer to keep profits high, meaning higher prices for everyday goods that have to be imported because someone doesn’t understand economics.

They use phrases like 'highest revenues to date'; which is true(because GDP went up); but fail to mention that they're not any better then what was projected before the cuts. They also use the phrase 'a full percentage point of growth above predictions'; and then neglect to mention that's for just one year, and that Trump's entire term is FAR below what was predicted(and even if you ignore the COVID slump, they're still not better then the '17 predictions). The only thing Trump's tax cuts did is make wealthy people richer. They also don't mention that permanently keeping the cuts will cost us about $4T over the next decade.
