Nice! I always prefer a thin case because it slides under cuffs and doesn’t generate as much torque on the wrist. 👌

A great watch in a fantastic size that hits a true sweet spot. Saving up for one now and it will be my next watch. Have gotten other Long Island Watches both given and received as presents as well as purchased for myself. Been a pleasure to deal with you and I am sure it will be the same in the future.

Casewize, this is identical to the NTH watches. water resistance too. Just another flavour of bezel, hands and dial. Nice to have more choices :-).

I guess Spinnaker calls it "Our Arrow Hour hand". Nice looking watch. Real nice.

The islander would have applied induces and a ceramic bezel insert!

This looks like a much more wearable watch than most offerings,and the blue isn't too bad

Hi Marc, any plans on bringing back the Islander Monsters? They seem to be out of stock

Watching with my wife, I called $650 exactly - due to the movement and the thinness. And wham - right on the money. Beautiful, but I want GMTs always…

So what exactly is the lume? Depending on the dial color, the indices range from green to white to tan(old radium?)

Yes, it can vary; white, green or aged.

Very nice piece. 👍 I'm still more enamoured will that case. You gotta mirror that design with the same features for the Islander 😁. Blue case/white logo or vice versa. Inside color the opposite with the pillow being the same color as the outside ☺️

Overall it looks nice but the usual Spinnaker yellow/green tint on the lume is a deal breaker for me. Maybe it's not as noticeable in person but on video and in pictures the yellowish green color really seems to come through. It's just personal taste but I feel like it clashes with a lot of dial colors (especially red) and has turned me off from ever buying a Spinnaker. I also never liked the way it looked on pictures of the red dialed Orient Kamasu so it's not just Spinnaker. I could very well be in the minority on this but I just prefer the lume to be as close to white as possible in most cases.

Marc - You should start packaging your Islanders in those types of cases with the Islander logo or the new case back logo 😉 Or, offer a box upgrade for a few $$ 🤔

Post #2 regarding the case - Going to this type of case, the screwdriver you always send will fit in this case along with other accessories (additional strap or bracelet purchases). Also, offer the cases to be purchased stand-alone. I'd buy cases for the ones in my collection now 😉. If you do create one for the Islanders, model it after the Spinnaker as they nailed it.👌 Cases are important to me. I've bought Seiko's from vendors that use the most basic of basic boxes. I've gone on eBay spending $25 - $35 for the proper Prospex presentation box the should have come in.

Marc the 9039 is where you should be headed on Islander dive watches. That Seiko 5 day/date complication is so lame on watches these days.

Most of the watch looks great, but the hands are a total dealbreaker for me. They absolutely ruin the elegance of the watch.

So they go through all that work for the bracelet but couldn’t add a divers extension 🤦🏻‍♂️. On a side note I’ve always had this I like them but don’t like them relationship with Spinnaker.

how can a 11mm thick watch weight 149 gram? omg

I want to like spinnaker but I just can't. Something g about their styling is just a bit cheap looking to me.

The only Spinnaker I have purchased is the Dumas Seaspray White with a decent discount, I love it, but I doubt I will buy another Spinnaker… time will tell. I agree that some of the watches look cheap (others seem overpriced) and the lume is only average also, the lume looks good initially, but it fades very quickly. The photos showing the lume look photoshopped to make it look better. However their customer service is great!
