Is this the Tesla of Van Electrical Systems?

The plug-and-play EcoFlow Power System is changing the way we build our van's electrical systems. We compare it to our own DIY lithium system.

Hi Ken. What are material costs, comparing this eco flow system to your OG electrical build? Excluding install labor time. Spec for spec, as much as possible. I know it's not a perfect science but any rough estimate comparing dollars to dollars for the 2 approaches, maybe a rough percentage more for a ready built eco flow system.? Thanks, I really appreciate your channel.

Hi Ken, I always appreciate your thoughtful and unsensational (in the best sense 😊) videos. Will you be making a deeper dive into reviewing the Ecoflow offering?

That is a thing of beauty! I've got a 200 AH solar generator in my van, which probably smaller and easier to install than the EcoFLow, but definitely not as high quality. Thanks for sharing another option!

I’m went with the Goal Zero 6000X for the same reasons, primarily fear of burning my van to the ground. This was before Eco Flo came out with this product. The Goal Zero works great but one drawback is time to charge. They now have a similar product with a brain and battery add ons.

Ken, great video, really enjoy your channel and this power system rack. Question on the Ecoflow Power Kit 5KWH battery. I know amp hours, and am confused on comparing what I know, AH, and I can't visualize the length of battery life in KWH. If the 5KWH battery is 48V, then the conversion is only +/- 100AH? If so, that would be a large, expensively low capacity battery. What is the AH of the 5KWH Ecoflow battery? Thanks!!!

Does this feature the same anti-competitive, non-compatibility with other brands as EcoFlow's portable ACs? I purchased one of their Wave 2 ACs planning to run it off the 12V electrical system in my van. When I went to test it, I learned that the 12V input only works with EcoFlow batteries. If you already have an electrical system in your van, then you have to run the AC off of your inverter.

i went all in on this system. Unfortunately the software is a total mess and has been since launch. And customer service is abysmal. Couldn't recommend it to anyone.

But then you have a single point of failure and the entire system goes down vs being able to quickly replace a single simple component.
