Australia needs more "F Trucks" and America needs more tray/canopies. Seems like a good opportunity for some trade.
Here in the USA i have seen the 350 in just about every configuration, but never with a tray and canopy, and the steering wheel on the right side! 😁

It's becoming more popular like here in Utah Moab/Sand hollow but usually midsize trucks. I too have never seen a full size F350 like that ; ) Giving a new meaning to the phrase; "more power too you" lol-lol ; O

I’m a truck fan and as a U.S. resident this makes me want a truck with the steering wheel on the right side.
What an absolute weapon and what a humble owner ! Good on you mate, keep living the dream
It is well over due, it is about time Australians to start understand how good these trucks are. Power, payloads, lift, tow haul mode, exhaust brake, surprisingly better fuel economy than an modified 200, keep in ind, with double the power and torque. I recommend people go and explore these trucks. Chev / F truck

Dunno, just bought chevy, all great but American ute have poor payload compare to Japanese. Awsome towing and power tho. And massively roomy inside
I love the towing power of these American trucks. And that front bar looks really clean
What a well kitted out tourer, how level headed was the owner. Nice to see a really clean fully on tourer without having to have everything that opens and shuts. Yes it is worth a fortune but with how chilled the dude was, you could actually forget there is over 300k rolling along.

Easy to justify this compared to a lambo or Porsche for the money.
Such a sick rig. Favourite part would definitely have to be the ability to leave the keys in the car and still lock it the with the little system on the driver and passenger doors.🤙

Sam I have a Ram currently but also have had my share of Fords which I still love. All the fords, not just the trucks have key pad entries and I love the key pads. And it is absolutely true what Derick says. Going for a surf, a hike or whatever and no more hiding keys, just toss under seat or similar. Brilliant. However one negative. I was broadsided when I had my expedition (essentially an F-150) by an old gal in a Honda which crushed both doors in. While it was at body shop I was able to rent the same vehicle and coincidentally it was the same color. Was taking the dogs for a hike and out of habit tossed the keys under the seat and gave the door shove and just it was about to shut realized "oh F" not my expedition. Was to late. Thank goodness for an portable bathroom at this specific trail (not the norm where I lived and hiked often). I was able to take a spring off one of the door hinges and fashion into a long enough rod to eventually break in. lol And yes I tried the factory code 1st before an owner resets it.
My favourite part of the rig is how luxurious the cab is. 👌🏽
Epic build by that family, bloody lucky and fortunate to give the kids and themselves this experience. I hit the road next year, just building up my 62 patrol now. Love the rig review videos mate
Apart from guessing who’s rig it was, my favourite part of the F350 would have to be ability to not worry about your GVM or GCM and still carry a boat and tow 4.5t! What a weapon!! Yew 🤙🏽
You do a really great job with the walkaround and interviews. 👌👌
Mate this build is absolutely epic! The rear end looks mint, especially with the matte black finish 🤙
What a epic build! Love the whole set up!
Pretty humble guy for a big rig! Awesome set up.
I think you guys just like what you don’t have. Same here honestly but what we don’t have are 105’s and patrols. That’s cool the owner made such a nice rig into a full on off road touring rig. I don’t see anyone doing that with their lariat f350’s here in utah.

So true. Up here in Canada we have people paying $100k+ for 15 yr old (our import limit) Defender 110s, 70 Series, Hiluxes. Show up on a logging road and everyone is drooling over them, whereas a built up F350 gets relatively little attention.

Just watched this poor bugger load his F350 onto a tow truck in Karratha and have it shipped all the way to Perth with a Factory Recall Failure. 'Lapping the Island' is his channel. Crushed diff tubes! never seen that kind of failure before. Devastating for him. He's humble and honest about it, least the dealer who sold it to him gave him great support. Buyer beware...

The algorithm finds me here, on your channel, looking at some beach scene as background. As a boater from the Great Lakes I smiled watching you all with the fly's. Yep, if you go to Lake Superior the water and view is the best but one has to be ready to deal with beach fly's and move on. Comes with the territory. Bit of a no brainer considering what blokes are spending on chopped 200s and 79s to even get close to that gvm and power.
Matt great video & not having to worry about the your GVM or GCM would be a bonus 👍
So excited for new post
Solid video, awesome 😎💪💯
I have seen someone that did custom sliders with dom tube at just enough angle out to clear the amp research steps and wide enough that the front and back didn't touch b/c it goes kind of out and down. So they had tube/bar sliders coming out at an angle kind of like you would have a normal tube slider. I don't think they posted pics of how they had it welded up underneath. You can wire those steps up with an override switch so if you're on an incline caught up on something you can hop out without them trying to deploy into it.
Feel for these guys, the truck looked so good but they have had a rough go of it with this vehicle.
Mate ! Favourite part has gotta be the legal 37s. What a dream . Unreal bit of gear ⚙
Not gonna lie but I was waiting for Derek to say his favourite line * it’s a great thing * lol
Probably the space for travelling and that water storage is awesome
That is seriously impressive!
I'm 52 live and have lived in Toronto Canada my whole life. Super Duty pickups are everywhere here in North America. I guess you Aussies don't have a lot of exposure to Ford/GM/Dodge super duty trucks. All are designed and built to tow and carry heavy loads all day in comfort with all the in-cab features. The F250/350 are the best. I'm not a Ford guy either. This is the best super duty touring truck conversion I've seen. Keeping the drivetrain basically stock. Good decision. You wouldn't want one as a daily driver. Just too much truck for no reason. As an Outback tourer towing and carrying heavy loads for long distances along remote rough tracks -> you just can't beat them.
Ha ha ha Great vid, that rig is so big you looked like my son jumping into my 79 series when he was 6 😜😜😜😜
Wow awesome ep, Dream 4wd

What classifies as a "real" truck. All the truck offering from the big 3 feel like Fisher-Price products. Our Department of State doesn't want those things. They're nice trucks, but longevity is not the first thing that comes mind with anything from the big 3. To each their own.

@@Casp3rthefriendlyI traveled to Australia years back, and I could never get over how expensive everything is. Hard to have anything actually manafactured in Australia when your population is only around 30 million, and your land area is so massive.
Limited, Platinum, King Ranch Lariat, XLT, XL trim levels from highest down. Platinum and King Ranch are comparable, but Platinum if more city/modern, KR is more country. This truck is the shorter wheelbase (Crew Cab 6.5' bed) single rear wheel. The F350 DRW and F450 have a lot more payload.
Amazing content..
Canopy setup is mint🤙
F350 rear axle has a higher weight limit than the standard F250 axle. No diff in the front axles.
I love the GCI set up
I grew up in Canada and moved back to Australia a few years ago, and I try and tell people that they are missing out. The "luxury" you get in any of the American trucks is far better than what we offer here in Australia. I think for me the only thing I hate is the price. I owned a new F-150 in Canada and it cost less or the same as any stock standard ute you can buy here. but after importing to think they cost anywhere form $150,000 - $200,000 is a bit sickening. If manufacturers realised that there is a real market here I think they would see a lot of success.

Won’t look new for long without decent mudflaps, stones will tear it up pretty quick. As for height if it’s registered as a light rigid you can go for a 6 inch + lift legally so long as the headlight height is no more then 1310mm. Heavy vehicle legislation isn’t as restrictive vs light vehicle
