I love the subcompact sedan look, very old school cool

this may be the single best car design interview I've ever seen. Domagoj Dukec provides such substantial and interesting explanations for the philosophy behind the choices BMW have made in crafting this vision. And Horatiu conducts the interview beautifully. Thank you both!

That is some of the best looking wheels I've ever seen, the design of the car is also spot on!

It's sometimes hard to see where BMW is going with their new concepts, but like anything else, it grows on you over time.

Looks great ! I hope it performs - speed, handling, range, practicality. Very nice wheels and perfect size too. (Loved my old 2002tii at the time. This takes me back...)

Very cool and elegant lines I like the front and rear and the side lines. The front and rear lights are particularly good. Good interior space and a timeless design. Good job!

At the end of the presentation bmw shows a camo'd version of an EV SUV and since they said they gonna start with an X3 and a 3 series, we can assume that the SUV in the teaser is the up coming iX3 with a front end design of this concept

Some nice questions there Horatiu. Pity the answers are always PR speak, but there is some hints in the reaction to the question... like the question about the kidney design for production. My take from his reaction was, don't give anything away. But the production version will be 'like' the concept within reason. About the design, I like the language from the i Vision, to the Dee Concept to this. Simple and clean. Once the production processes are incorporated, it should look much more familiar, but different enough. I'm excited for this!!

I remember years ago, l showed an old car designer friend of mine a sketch of what direction l think BMW should go. The kidney grille was stretched across the front, with the lights housed inside. He didn't like the idea. But l am glad BMW caught on.

Interesting. Simplicity. Timelessness.

Front and rear lights reminded me Mitsubishi from the 90's. rear side windows , Chevy cavalier. I believe Toyota or Chevy , did a prototype similar to that.

I used to love BMW because of their compact fun to drive sedans, but gave up on them because they seemed to have stopped making those cars. This however would certainly interest me again...

Even if you didn't sit down, this was great!

This goes to show that just because you can do something it doesn't mean you should. We will see how this carries over.

I was looking at getting a Porsche Taycan but if something like this is coming out then I'm getting it.

Did I miss something? How do you open the door with no door handle? A light sensor? But how do you open it lol

6:13 He lied, I don't see any clear Hofmeister Kink. Only the Vision Dee got the kink. It's totally a new stylized version that doesn't resemblance the iconic kink, totally different from the concept.

Still a way to go

I appreciate that this is all forward looking design. But I fear that driver involvement is a thing of the past. As futuristic as it looks, it doesn’t look like something that will develop into a car I want to drive on a twisty backroad. I hope I’m wrong and the M division has magic to make this into a drivers car eventually.

Looks a bit like a modern Volvo crossed with a Lincoln MKZ. It's not bad looking, but BMW does not have a good recent track record of building attractive cars

front end very good. nice interior.. but WTF with the rear end? very ugly. They could use whole black rear tail light instead like Audi or three parts of light to save money for future repairs.

10:00 He contradicted when he talks about the door handles, Highly funtionalized door handles yet you remove it for the sake of the style. Maybe they got this inspiration from Ford Mustang Mach-E.

The interior is nice but the exterior isn’t a bmw. If this is the 3 series it’s dead to me.I think this new head designer thinks he is Chris bangle but he is not.Seems like they have to overdo this wierd designs till it back fires and blows up in their face then they wake up and do something about it. If this is their new design people gonna buy new Teslas.

So BMW produces concept cars and Tesla produces cars for sale, wow, I wonder how far it goes😂😂😂

My last car is g12 alpina b7. V8, buttons, knobs, mean looking premium car. Goodbye BMW, the future looks really terrifying. Burkard Bovensiepen was right to sold the company. We are done ;(

Despite the all bla bla polishing words when I see the back design of the car I don't see BMW, I see Mitsubishi. The sprinkled, recycled black material is also no go for me. This car is not elegant at all, no prestige. I'd go for another brand.

Horrible design, customers will switch to the better designed asian competitors. Even with the current line-up who wants a bmw ix if you can also buy a lotus eletre. BMW should stop the 'i' designs completely.
