This weekend kinda put nail in the coffin for this game, slow pace making every card accessible for all people who play the game bullshit 2k

I really miss the auction house. Being able to reap the benefits of lower prices from the people who choose to pull packs and sell dupes. Getting great cards at a fair price. The nms players win and 2k still gets their pack addicts feeding their pockets. The new way of the player market just sucks. The cards are way too expensive and if you buy a card and decide to turn around and sell it you don’t even get half your return on investment. Makes it risky to even try out a card. They need to just bring back auction house fr.

What's also sad is everyone including myself was looking forward to all star weekend and this is what we get. Every card should be in the player market

Thankfully I’m NMS and this is exactly why but I feel like if they are expecting people to spend actual money it should be a guarantee you can get the card you want they act like this is a F2P game. Come October all the money you put into this game is irrelevant and you have to do the same thing over.

This times a million. And compare it to 99% of the video games out there. Like you could buy the two big games everyone is streaming, Hell Divers 2, and Deep Rock Galactic Survivor and have access to the entirety of both games. OR ONE RANDOM card that will be outdated in 3-4 weeks! AND we bought the game for $70-150!? WTF? Imagine the backlash if Diablo 4 used this model for weekly drops... store only... random in packs...

It’s only going to get worse with the new TOS that basically says 2k can do whatever they want with your account and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. As someone who spent money on this game at least 2x a month, I’ve been priced out also and won’t spend anymore on the game. Too bad

Fax I still don’t understand why they removed it because there ended up being MT glitches thru out the year with the new player market which for sure made them lose more money then when people brought MT

There has to be budget type cards coming out each and every week. I can look past almost everything because it's 2k they don't care but when the cheapest player I can buy is 105k and I lose 60% of my MT when I sell back that is simply content that I cannot interact with, and I cannot fathom how 2k can look at that and not see a problem. Like you've said 30k could get you multiple weeks worth of budget cards every other year, and this year 30k gets you 1, if there's even any budget cards at all. DisASSterclass of a mode.

im with ya man. I would grind a bunch (using the ultimate reward that they took away from us as a carrot) , then when a favorite player came out i would spend like 20 bucks to finish off the set, and start to save up again.

Agreed I didn't buy any packs with my money I only bought the pass and that carMelo is for sure a monster. I've been scoring 40 with more per game. But even with the MT I earn disgusting odds huge turn off mind you they released the locker code for free hof season pass so I never had to spend that money

I appreciate hearing your perspective as a content creator for the game on this. Been playing 2k off and on since 2k6. This drop has been a new low. Wish it was easier to quit, but good virtual basketball experiences don't exist other than this game. The corporate greed is unhinged.

Cross play is HUGE i think that was the best thing this mode needed. But thats as far as it goes. No one wants to spend 50$ + everytime they turn the game on. They need to make changes regardless of how much they make or didnt make. Changes have to be made. The player market alone has to be updated cuz thats a never ending scroll menu let alone the deal of the day. Deal of the day is what price cards SHOULD BE so its never a "sale" cuz cards are gonna drop in price regardless just wait it out. If they expect ppl to pay cash for everything i think there in for a surprise.

Let’s be honest guys this is what we thought myteam would be without the auction house

I really think what you brought up about how the cards that were worse used to be playable is a great point because it’s a reason so many people could play and compete and it made it realistic and fun

I spend 100 dollars cash and 500k mt and didn’t pull a single opal. I tried getting packs on my console, and I tried on the app on my phone… no opal! I’m not spending anymore… unless the prices come wayyyyy down! The players are wayyy too expensive! It ridiculous

As a no money spent player I feel this, I don’t have the time to constant grind this game when I have to deal with school.

I really wish it would have been an option pack for the set. I really wish the PDs would have been on quick. Instead I dropped 300k Mt on packs cause I'm refusing to use vc. Just going to ignore this game for a while with this crap going on. Time to try out palworld and the last of us

Palworld is dope, my wife and i have been playing it, its the first game ive got her to enjoy playing multiple times a week. You could buy that game and Hell Divers 2, and access the entire game.. OR a random opal thats trash in 3-4 weeks 🤣🤣🤣 Enjoy the break and the games 💪

i was so mad that on thursday evening i checked x and I saw 100ovr kareem i ws knda mad cause I just picked up siesmic pg and than i just see that the opals are pack only and not even player market. I just lost my mind.

2K Totally F thus All-star Weekend this is a ultimate low.

I’ve gotten a couple all star PD from base packs and the 20 box base is 75k mt. To me that’s the only upside but besides that it’s totally understandable to be upset if you don’t want to spend money on the game to get one of the opals.

I said it at the beginning of 2k24 that the removal of the auction house completely killed this game mode. Think about people opening packs right now, what are they doing with duplicates or opals that they don’t want? They get basically nothing for them. With an auction house, if you pack Kareem, you can sell him and make enough mt back to last until end game.

Yep, I spent tonnes over the weekend, I pack 2 dupe KDs and a dupe Giannis, imagine what they would have sold for in a market.. instead I get back 300k Mt in TOTAL...it's disgusting

Myteam 2k officially the greediest game mode I have ever seen

2k has been super disappointing since i started playing last year. But its even worse now when you think that can't even be possible. Last year i had a fking addiction on spending real money. I'm glad this year i only spend real money sometimes. Mainly the pro pass.

This weekend ruined 2k24 myteam, and honestly this would be one of the best if not at the top of list as one of best my teams if had auction house

​@@Jess023 there was a kid in California playing an older version and used his own money to buy VC and then the servers were shut down without notice and he lost his VC because MyTeam no longer exists when the servers don't. His mother filed suit against 2k for essentially knowingly taking money for services that couldn't be rendered when they closed the servers down and people having no way to get their money back. There are multiple countries that don't allow the pack market because it is all ages gambling essentially and if this case goes bad, there may be a sound reason for politicians to intervene in America and other countries and it opens them up to larger class actions for people who lost things that they purchased and no longer have access to. Hence the new TOS.

@@Jess023 They also got in trouble a few years ago because park players could upload their own images to make clothes and they were allowing people to put supreme logos and various other brands on their clothes that they were purchasing with VC with no money going to the companies for the use of their images and copyrights.

Na I don't think anyone will leave this game because if you really think about it you're still playing this game this mode I've said the same thing all the time on 2k23 and I could say this year for 2k24 I haven't purchased it at all I haven't even tried the trial or downloaded the free my team app on the play store

I spent money, way too much, and 600k mt saved...not cause i wanted to but because i wanted to stay somewhat relevant with my online gameplay even though i have a losing record... Done spending now until dark matters are guaranteed in every pack.. screw this money hungry company... Im about 750 usd / 1000 Aud in so far and played for about 4-6 weeks in total.. hand brake is on now !

It’s not perfect (the duo set and evo set are way too low) but it’s the best we have. That and clutch time are my go to. Clutch time you can end up against a hell line up but at least it’s only a quarter and with 2Ks insane algo you may still steal a win. I am not playing unlimited again, either ever or until late June. 😂

They really need to take notes from mlb the show. MLB the show is literally 80% + no money spent and they’ll make more money cause more ppl will buy their game. 2k23 is hands down better then 2k24. Gameplay, Auction House and Limited just to name a few things why.
