Im a f2p and for a long time i was playing the same deck, but when i went up in arena i started getting countered every match. I solved this by switching to a completley different deck until that deck was no longer working for me where i was then able to switch back to my old main.

@@CRJZsometimes it’s not even a skill issue, sometimes I’ve played decks that don’t have a big spell and the moment I switched, I got multiple EGolem decks in a row. Sometimes you get unlucky, but it definitely feels like the game purposely does it sometimes.

fr you can level up real fast, get legendary cards that you wouldnt otherwise be able to get until arena 11, and not anymore but the past few seasons you could even get champions, which now got replaced by evolution shards

I find it really crazy that I happened to make an alt the same day you did because I originally had one but lost the login to it and wanted to make a new one. So I kind of feel like I'm on this free to play journey with you. I've actually made it to Electro Valley just today and got my first legendaries as well in just 3 days of having the account. Skill and good resource management can take you pretty far if you know what you're doing. Though it's a lot of uphill battles because there's not only plenty of people who have higher level cards, there are also toooooons of smurfs so you genuinely have to outplay some people pretty hard.

Yeah I made an alt during slash Royale and was able to climb to arena 10 in about three days. I got stuck after arena 11 though because my cards were all like level 8 but I’m currently in arena 13

The only time I make significant progress is in the week following buying the diamond pass. Even that is slower than before, pay more and get less. Replacing chests with gold has reduced the general number of cards available to free to play by at least 40%. Now it is £10 to buy 50k cards for a free upgrade to 15, doing it with chests is for the rich and the terminally stupid.

as a f2p, im in jungle arena and its actually pretty difficult. because of the ram rider thing about a few months ago, everyone had ram rider and its stupid op at that stage.

Same, I put bomb tower in my deck specifically to counter ram rider because as soon as you place a building the ram rider will head straight for it and then you can finally kill it.

I did an account with the same purpose a year ago, I stopped at arena 4 due to Lack of motivation. Tho I played the account recently and when I got to arena 5, I was against people with level 10 cards and evolutions! ( firecracker, mortar and barbs are the ones that I’ve fought. When I played this game 4 years ago, having level 10 cards at arena 12 was more probable. People had level 5 king towers at arena 5, now they are level 8. Tho I managed to get to arena 7 with under leveled cards because people are bad. 4 years ago, people were better they weren’t getting carried by their stupid level advantage.

As someone who is mainly f2p (I would buy the old passes but that is about it) I can not believe how bad this game is now. I was playing a match in arena 15 and someone had level 15 cards and evolutions in the same deck. His king tower was only about level 11 or 12. I think they should put some level cap in ladder because they make it too difficult to progress when you are going against people who spend 3 elixr on something and you need to spend 3 + just to defend it.

If you're in an arena where you can't unlock legendaries, you can buy 2 legendary wild cards, and the 2nd one will award you 20k gold instead.

I’m under 3,000 trophies and I got the Elite Barbarian Decoration today and it was my second try.

I recently started playing again, i went up against someone with cards level 12 while mine were 9 and he also had an evolutioned mortar and he bm'd when he won.
