Your math is wrong. Crit damage and weakspot damage are multiplicative with your damage stat.

How nonchalantly you calculate with 100% crit chance though.

I 100% want to try this. I love dot-based gameplay in soulslike games and this seems super fun. I love that its built around a mutator, so it doesn't restrict the player too much. I can wear whatever armor/weapons/archetypes and still be effective.

Sounds like a great fit for the momentum mutator on the primary. Use the bleed mutator on a secondary, then swap to the nightfall which I think you did and enjoy permacrits. Momentum gives 30% crit at full stacks plus crit damage at lvl 10. Paired with probability cord for 30% CRT damage, akari war band gives 15% CRT dmg and chance on perfect dodge and lastly, probably the most important, faerins sigil gives you mod power on crits. Takes like 1 mag for the nightfall to be back up. Last ring is flex. You can run a utility ring or more damage

The assassin's dagger with the Vampire mutater would also work well with this. The dagger can apply bleed and buffs damage against bleeding targets. The vampire mutator does the same buff that stacks and offers pretty good lifesteal against bleeding targets at +10. While it doesn't add a ton to the build it can synergize really well.

@@clipCommander101 I think it comes down to personal preference honestly. The dagger feel a lot more like a tool to help where as the claws feel like more of a standalone weapon. Really up to your build/ playstyle

One way to beef up the build even more, although it’ll require a bit more effort, is throw Twisting Wounds on your sidearm & Momentum on your main wep. Gets absolutely whacky numbers, and i don’t even have whetstone yet, so with it it’d be wild

On a min-maxed setup, you are losing way too much dps just swapping and waiting for crit to apply bleed. A near perfect setup will almost always one-mag an elite and even most bosses. By the time you have to swap back to your main gun, I have already killed the boss.

@@delacroixii Aye do what works best for you mate, this is just what works for me. Although I doubt there’s any bosses on Apocalypse that can be killed in a single clip, but feel free to point me in that direction cause I’d love to test it! Appreciate the feedback nonetheless though :)

Fun fact kass's shop resets every 30 minutes after you leave ward 13 so run a quick adventure then head back and she'll have new stuff. I always set a timer for her reset inventory so check her stuff often!

Another fun fact to tac onto this. If you find great sewers or the transition dungeon. (Forget name of other). But you can get a room of prisoners hanging in cages within Great Sewers. Flamethrower works best but you can also use a high fire rate weapon to spray the prisoner that drops the hand that you inspect to get a ring. You basically pick up a bunch. Then start inspecting, waiting til it basically gives you info or right before but you cant just hit b real quick or it cancels versus inspecting. Youll get the timing fast. Then spam it for 250 scrap each. Theres a ring you can find by chance in Yaesha thet gives you like 50% more scrap or something decent that also applies to this. I cant confirm as i havent gotten the ring as much as ive played lol. But cheers. Ive done this everytime i run into the room when i go through great sewers. I basically have all the mats id need bc you can keep goin back to cass shop for mats. Only thing you TRULY have to farm is lumelite or whatever. Other than that this is the scrap farm and farm for mats to upgrade weps aside from the lume lumes. Best place to farm that is labyrinth. First waypoint just run up the stairs and then run back or use the “bonfire item”

Me and my buddy found a scrap bug as well. A bit more intricate and not sure exactly what you have to do. But I was solo and got dragged into the Kaeulas shadow boss fight. He joined my game right after I died the first time, killed the boss and went back to exploring. Where you grab the ring when the shadow pulls you, he went back got the ring first and the animation played to pull him to the fight, but it was already dead so it reset him and let him pick the scrap up over and over. It did bug out the dungeon tho, fog wall went back up and you couldn't go through it so you will have to kill yourself to get out of there.

I use the twisted mutator with my infinite modpower statuseffect build. Since it counts as elemental damage and status effect you can put 3-4 statuseffects on a target nonstop. Allowing me to focus on medic duties or (because of the sheer amount of aggro created by all that damage) tank (run away screaming)

Momentum being as strong as it is, this seems more usable for slower firerate or low mag size guns that need to reload a lot. As you mentioned the shotguns are prime candidates since they can't proc Momentum well enough. I will definitely try this as long as I get the mutator and amulet which has been alluding me for a while now...

yeah the amulet apparently is just an RNG roll with Cass. Once she has it, it won't go away til you buy it from her (as far as I've heard from reliable sources). So, unfortunately, you just have to check back with her constantly until she has it ;-;

​@LordViettner I completed the game on my friends save, so my shops are always trash. So what I did, cheekily, was player hop onto random players worlds and ran to cass. I snagged it off someone else's world! It was root earth version of the ward

I am using a similar build right now but with the weapon Merciless. The bleeding effect will stack. The enemy will have a "2" next to the bleeding icon when the mutator and merciless apply bleeding on it. So in total of >1000 bleeding in 10s. Moreover, I try to mix the build further with the ring "Stone Of Malevolence" this make Mod regen really fast. Especially the mod of merciless.

It can spawn in cotton, but it's extremely rare. I got this event once but I've gotten it out of butchers almost every time

Twisting Wounds + Merciless is my go to combo, 1350 bleed with 1 crit/weakspot shot. Paired with the necklace that makes you have better crit chance and crit damage on a bleeding target. hmm what a combo

Great build! i was just thinking about trying bleed out. i love how there are so many different ways to minmax. My current setup right now is standard nightfall rifle and just stack as much crit chance/crit dmg as possible. Right before this video i saw another build using deceit and going full DPS H.U.G.S, even using butchers amulet to give crit chance after charged melee hit like stuff i never would have thought of trying.

yeah deceit is really good bc it's mod allows for any shot to be a weakspot! crit chance is the meta with HUGS rn, since it and weak spots are the only multiplicative damage addons, they're so strong

blood draw weapon mod seems really good with this. and maybe merciless weapon. but then you can't choose a mod. you can always put its on your sidearm though. but i love enigma to much :P but i guess its worth swapping out when focusing on bleed. also my cass is bugged.... shes outside the map. so i will use Ravager's mark amulet.

Works well with Handler as well. Attack dog causes bleed.

Mythic level relics are awesome

Trick on how to quickly reset Cass's shop: Get a friend to create a new character with tutorial skipped - Join that friend's session then buy anything you want from Cass - Repeat the process to refresh the shop.

1:17 you don't need to do a slow drop down onto the wooden platforms. You can sprint and jump off the edge to land perfectly every single time.

@@robertc.5558 the sprint is just to not slow down, and to exemplify your balls of steel. Drop down the ladder, sprint immediately and quickly slide through the opening, and sprint again to immediately jump and drop down, sprint again and head straight for the jump.

I really appreciate you pointing out that there is still potential for improvement with this build. Remnant is an incredibly deep game and anyone who claims to have mastered it this close to release is either way too confident in themselves or straight up not trust worthy.

Thats the build i was using too. I was wondering why no one was talking about it.

Pulse Rifle comes to mind, and you could combo this with Ravagers Seal to see if the 20%-30% base damage increase does anything. Plus there's a ring that increases status duration on an enemy, so depending on if the shots refresh timer or if it can only reapply once exhausted that could be a straight damage increase over time.

I got this and have been trying to level it to level 10.

Only change I do is run bulletstorm (gunslinger skill) because it makes the nightfall full auto and you can get back to the mod skill faster and get more dps

merciless applies a double bleed proc from the gun itself and twisted wounds. its about 1k and up extra damage per bleed proc that applies every bullet after sustained fire, but if that bullet hits a weakspot it does 260% extra damage with this build and double bleed damage.

yeah! i just made a video with merciless, twisting wounds, and a couple other bleed stacks. if you get level 10 handler you can also get dog bleed. I think you can have like 7 bleed stacks at once if you're lucky and play everything right

Dont sleep on pipe bombs to apply bleed. Lets you run a mutator like momentum for even more crit stats.

as much as this is a cool build, i really thought you were going to go with rings that increased the bleed damage itself and status duration of bleed, i was wrong LOL

If you don't have twisting wounds yet, the malice weapon from yeasha is a viable alternative.

I am in the last section of the game for my first playthrough on campaign. None of my Merchants at Ward 13 have upgraded anything at all. Kath has only sold iron. She had two or three rings to begin with. But that's it. I bought those and she has never had anything else

It's a bug, if you join anyones adventure you will reset your vendors to start of game. If you join anyones campaign while they have the vendor bug.... you'll will get the vendor bug. Its suck and is a relatively easy fix, but it's tied to co-op vendors having loot you can't find anywhere else. (Some loot you can only buy from Co-op vendors) they would need to disable this as a shirt term work around till the bug is fixed.

I had a very insane bleed build on Remnant From the Ashes to where I would cause crazy amount of bleed and then also heal from that bleed damage I then had a buddy copy the same build and we could apply a bleed stack on each other and have infinite health while fighting any boss

@@oLaudix didn't realize they don't not far enough into the game yet LOL but no in the first one I would cause bleed from the crossbow mod I forget the name and then they ring doubled the bleed damage another ring gave me healing from bleed damage and then the necklace I think it was made it to where a portion of the healing also healed allies so my buddy picked up the same build and we would either shoot the boss or shoot each other if the boss wouldn't keep the bleed dot and have insane bleed and healing at the same time it was a hilarious build didn't quite working harder difficulties though and it was not very good for mob control

I prefer the ravagers mark for 20% free damage increase and 30% if the enemy is lower than 50%. I also like the Blood tinged ring for free healing. Feels like this modifier could also work pretty well with merciless, if the two bleeds stack.

ravager's mark is a good option too! i was torn between the two, but the extra crit damage is why i went for whetstone. I've also started running the braided thorns for 10 seconds of +15% crit after getting a kill, helps increase the amount of crits i'm getting

@@zerocharisma573 In my testing the bleeds do actually stack. Pretty much all dots cant stack up to three times. As long as it is applied by 3 separate sources. For example you could apply the bleed from both merciless and the mutator and will show a X2 on the bleed icon on the enemies showing that there are two instances of bleed applied. The same goes with fire and acid but not lightning as far as I have been able to tell with my testing.

In case anyone is wondering how to get that amulet here’s how: When you get to the quest where Ravanger wants to finish how the injured Doe, finish off the Doe. Just a tip, it’s best to save the Doe in campaign if you have it, so that way you can permanently access the vendor who will deny you access if the Doe is killed. You can always return in adventure mode to do the other choices.

I would definitely add stone of malevolence for the 15% mod power generation with elemental damage. Maybe even add faelin's sigil for the same effect on crit and weakspot damage if you really wanted to overkill the mod usage.

Bleed is a status effect. Not elemental

Theres a ring called "Ahanae Crystal" that adds 5% damage for every status effect you can get on the enemy. i throw down a fire turret, use corrosive rounds on my side arm, and bleed from twisted rounds. i just need a way to get shock on the enemy too for some giant damage.

Sounds cool in theory but is it worth it? Seems like a lot of extra steps for a 20% dmg boost for most likely a very short duration without having to reapply debuffs

I'm using this mutator on Merciless which allows you to stack bleed twice. The timelapse ring also doubles the bleed status, so now its near 3k dmg in 20 seconds from both stacks. It's very useful on the bosses, but the crit build with Nightfall might be better just because of the Merciless crazy long reload speed.

it's still good, i've run apoc with it quite a bit. i really haven't changed my build at all since i started running this. i think momentum is the overall best mutator, free 30% crit chance is impossible to beat, but free bleed, extra damage, extra crit is solid

1:16 here you can jump forward right from the first wooden beam and skip the "parkour" safely landing on the other side.

They can stack together and are a good match. However there isn't anything in his build scaling the bleed damage so I would say Nightfall is still better if all you want is the crit/crit damage on bleed.

Note: If you find an Enemy or Boss that doesn't have a Weakspot, you can Artificially make one with the Bore Mod, which you get from the Abomination boss fight. This creates a weaker version of a Weakspot, but it is still a Weakspot you can use.

apparently you can proc double bleeding, so the mutator makes a bleed and merciless also bleeds. someone in the comments said it's like 1300+ bleed damage over the bleed timer

Can you add that bore drill shot to the build, and create your own weakspot on enemies (bosses) which don't have those weaknesses

it's random for butcher and cotton if it spawns. i got it in cotton for the first time yesterday after about 10-11 runs of losomn with a cotton's kiln. just gotta reroll until you get it ;-;

If you use the blood draw mod on your secondaey and equip the timekeepers jewel it doubles the damage. Timekeepers jewel increases the duration of a status effect so this also works for merciless as well

i feel you, i'm still learning it xD nightfall (the gun i'm using) has a mod that makes you invisible and gives you full auto, you're slightly harder to hit but you can still get hit

mutators are for that specific weapon you have it sloted in. it modifies the weapon. not the character...

Good to know, but my main issue is the spawn. Being relatively no time at all into this game, i have completed losom and tried a few rolls on adventure but have no idea what I'm looking for/when to see if i have butchers as a spawn. Am i supposed to reroll and look for a certain tile or map type? or is it simpler to say that i need to run through Iron borough each time at least and seeing if one of the options is butchers. perhaps more annoying than that was one play through of losom on adventure gave me a different run, so i completed all but couldn't even get to all locations i think because it needed to be unlocked through the labyrinth which it didn't give me. i guess I'm not far enough in normal run to have all that unlocked, very very annoying. perhaps adventure farming this early is just not helpful, or based too much on dumb luck with little knowledge.

i'm also new to this game, i didn't play the first remnant. basically what i did was reroll losomn in adventure mode, play through the first area (your first spawn ideally should be morrow parish) then i'd check each of the dungeons, if they weren't butcher's or cotton's, i'd reroll for morrow parish and repeat. if you get cotton or butcher, just look for that tile that has the long drop to the sewer like you see in the tutorial for getting it! hopefully this helps :D

@@LordViettner Regrettably so far i have had little besides starting in the palace somewhere, or morrow parish 14. which once is running through the palace and hoping something is next(dont know if that ever happens), and the other being a parish version that only has blocked routes, sewers, and the area of burnt guys. ive already forgotten, but none of those areas needed. guess ill try and rotate around, also pepper in the Yaesha boss for bleed rifle. maybe i can get at least one weapon i actually want to use.

Funny thing. I dropped into the sewer and lived just losing half my health.

Anyone know at what point in losomn butcher quarter or cottons kiln are accessible? And does the starting point influence it?

it's a random tile insert, it can be in a couple places in each map, ideally you want to roll morrow parish first. both should be in the first area of losomn, they can be a mandatory or non-mandatory dungeon

I hardly use it, IMO it would be best for bosses, since you'll be close to most of them that you'll make bleed. for overworld you should kill general mobs really quickly so it won't be very useful

you have to talk to Dwell, the guy with horns between the shooting range and wallace that calls you paxultek. you can buy mutators and relic fragments from him, but you can also go to an upgrade screen and use corrupted luminite to upgrade the mutators that you own

Sad cause i got both areas and it didnt spawn in for me

I just got this mutator from Derelicts Lighthouse. Before I tried to find at butcher & cotton but no result.

yeah it's a random tile generation, it can happen in either butcher's quarter or cotton's kiln. it's not guaranteed, but can only spawn in those 2 dungeons

yeah man, a buddy and i rerolled losomn for like 3-4 hours before we got butcher's quarter even once, luckily it was there first time. lot's of RNG in the end game...

Best? no, Good? yes, its not the best when comparing to momentum and supercharger, twisting wounds shines on your handgun slot to buff your long gun damage option which would have momentum on unless a bow then you use supercharger, even with a bow if you can consistently hit with it, momentum would be better than super charger if you're taking bullet storm on gunslinger. I could be wrong you can do the maths but I believe max stacks momentum, the dps is actually better than twisting wounds and abrasive whetstone put together, since the extra 15% crit chance is better than the 20% additive damage.

momentum is best for rapid firing weapons, twisting wounds is basically version for smaller clip size or slower firing weapons for sure! also a good way to get some free bleed procs

This is too close to my Remnant 1 build. Radiant gear, polished whetstone, braided thorns, devouring loop, and fan of knives to proc the bleed.

Don't just jump straight down there you'll get stuck outside the map

Could you show the location any better? I wish you guys would actually pull up the map and kind of detail out exactly where it is. Because sometimes it’s randomly generated as well as the different events that can be in them. Because of that I spent the entire trip in butchers quarter only to not find this place at all.

the location/tile is random on each map too, that's why i didn't really show it. it can spawn in a couple places on butcher or cotton, afaik

Just so you know you did the math wrong. Weakspots and crits are multiplicative bonuses. The video you linked even explains it. The reason HUGS is so good is it gets around the additive junk. All damage boosts are additive. So Ravagers mark + twisted wounds would be 140% damage.

Frankly damage should work the way you had in your video because as it stands crit will always be mathematically superior unless they vastly increase the flat bonuses. It's why the "momentum" mutator is so much better than everything else, even though I think "twisted wounds" is really cool and the first one I maxed

@@hoppers4prez214 yeah momentum is super strong, but twisting wounds works great for slower fire rate guns that can't build up that momentum, which is why i love running it on shotguns or secondaries!

@@LordViettner Unfortunately the decided to buff momentum more than the old radiant set bonus because the stacks only fall off after 5 seconds at max, so I've found success even with snipers... I just ignore crit builds at this point because they just seem to be the solution to every problem when there are way cooler things like explosive or bleed builds.

Personally ive been running a DR, lifesteal bleed build thats been pretty decent. running Merciless, twisting wounds, with the ravagers mark for the bleed damage. But I think your weak spot crit bleed might be better.

More crit is better. As the math example goes. 100 + 10 + 20 = 130. OK you crit and have crit dmg at 100% so that's 260. Then weakspot adds more and that can crit. Crit is a × not a +.

Tbf almost any build works with nightfall 😅 kinda expecting big nerfs on it soon as it turns game easy mode

see if you can get cotton's kiln as well, either of those two can spawn the tile for this. a buddy of mine and I rerolled for 3-4 hours before we got it. it's just luck of the roll unfortunately

Isnt root nexus the easiest boss encounter in the game? I wouldn't even call it a boss, but it has a health bar and a name so i guess it is. I cannot think of another boss i have killed faster than root nexus, typewriter still had 20-30 rounds left before it was dead (bandit is gnarly on typewriter)

Think this is still viable after twisting wounds got nerfed along with criit gear?

The ring that increases status effect times doubles the bleed to 20s

I hate that there's no loadout feature in this game.

Only changes id make is 1: Get rid of a ring for stone of maleveolence so elemental dmg generates 15% mod power 2: Secondary weapon use nebula with the harmonizer mutator so your mod dmg does 20% more dmg and generates 25% mod power for stowed weapons This way you are constantly getting night fallens mod power back by just using nebulas mod power. So you can always have your infinite mod power up. Nebulas mod power also does nice dmg so it will be great with the bleed

This game does not want me to get this mutator. I've spent the last two days trying to find it. Swear I've been 0/7 on cotton's kiln and 0/3 on butcher's quarters. It's so frustrating that I've maxed out my relic charges with simulacrums (and even more) before I have found this secret event.

No end game? This game has tons to do after you beat the campaign. Way more than most video games ever provide. I guess you have no plans on playing higher difficulties and unlocking the specific loot that comes with those difficulties. Not to mention playing through the game once or twice is not enough to even see all of the content. I bet you can play the campaign five times and still won't see all the bosses and sub bosses and areas the game has to offer.
